| I compared Krk rokits and genelecs and went with the gens but i think KRK´s are good monitors for the price. Even Benny Blanco uses rokit 8 monitors. |

Well, aside from answering your own question, the reason they deserve to get flack, is that they are sub standard monitors which have a ton of marketing behind them to trick people in to thinking they are better.
Just look at the money they throw at known artists to get product endorsements - no other brand gets even close. A while back they did make one great monitor which was $1500 a piece, but guess what? They discontinued it.
Why? So they could sell thousands of lower priced inferior models.
I get why a company wants to cash in on the lower end market but you have to make a great product.
They really are the Beats by Dre of monitors. |

I bought these monitors being on a very tight budget.. I THOUGHT these were going to be tiny but holy crap the 5's are huge O_O
Buying the 6's or 8's would have DEFINITELY shook my entire house NO joke about that.
ANYWAY... my order came earlier than I expected for one and two these monitors came wrapped up like new born babies they were so secure haha I was actually kinda pissed at how much I had to go through to open them but it was so worth it.
Take it from me I'm an average dude trying to find the best deal I can like anyone else and these are exactly what I've been looking for... don't be an idiot... buy these..... seriously.............. stop reading.... and just buy these! O_O

you're being an idiot.
Reviews on Amazon mean absolutely nothing. Firstly, it's a consumer market place, not a professional review by educated users in the correct field and secondly, anyone can leave a review *cough* (KRK's marketing department) for a product they haven't even bought.
A friend of mine is a writer and managed to get over 100 positive reviews from friends on amazon from people who hadn't even seen the book, let alone read it.
So if amazon reviews is your benchmark of how you grade professional audio equipment, I think MSZ has kind of nailed it in terms of what your opinion will be worth around here.

| who buys stuff on amazon. Thats just weird. Unless it is an actual audio dealer, chances are it is stolen. people don't make money at the rates they charge on new stuff. And if you ever decide to register it or sell it, well they have all those serials in a database that doesn't ever go away. |

I've got KRK RP6s which I use for DJing where they are perfectly fine due to the pronounced low end. Mid and top end? Forget it. They sound muddy.
Then if I compare them to the Dynaudio BM5as on the other side of the room? Worlds apart. Like comparing a ty Chinese knock off car to a Mercedes.
Do yourself a favour and go with the suggestions of some of the guys here. |

wowza! yeah i am going to step it up and buy some high grade i think in the future! I dont do anything else with my money so happy to spend it on some well needed and well researched monitors that step up to the plate with great response right across the frequency range.
My music is getting there now and so is my knowledge, so well worth it i think (reward myself) the investment :tongue3
