You're including deists in your definition there, mate. When theists are included in your definition of what an atheist is, then you're clearly starting with the wrong foot... the rest of the post contains similar mistakes, so I guess you might want to read what you wrote and review everything (including your claim that claims are not claims), because it's really hard to discuss an idea when you lack the necessary consistency to keep the debate going :(
Also, the software is fine. I've been writing walls of text here since 1983, and never had a problem doing that. |

Indeed, I may need to update (or totally revise) my knowledge. I'm aware of deism and was thinking of that word constantly while I was making that post. Technically speaking deism is not theism, although I guess atheism usually means both atheism and "adeism" if that's a word. I didn't invent that definition I've just heard it somewhere and it sounded accurate so I thought it should be repeated here. You're right in that it needs to be edited to exclude deism more/fully.
That said, is there really a difference between believing that a god randomly created the big bang
compared to say
believing in the big bang and believing that aliens created human life?
The second would still cause someone to remain an atheist surely. |

I would have to advise you to check yourself for integrity, of any sort, before declaring others lack it. You only serve to excuse its followers and separate the "extremists" from the rest. That's what apologetic's do; they invoke the "No true Scotsman" and go about attacking atheists for "stereotyping" religious people. Yet in your own posts, you project your own stereotype of atheists.
I would love to hear how my "rhetoric is propaganda", albeit, I suspect it involves several fallacious appeals that I've heard ad nauseum before. For someone who claims to have "1,000 arguments" of this type, you come off as having just now found the internet and realizing there's all these mean atheists talking about religion on it.
