not sure what direction this thread has gone in, are we still talking about clothes?

on one hand, yeah, it's annoying and no one likes to truly party in calvin klein shoes and an overpriced button up.

that being said, if you want to check out your favorite DJs in a top class, state of the art club, you have to pay the piper. places like marquee (or LIV/Story down in Miami) are much bigger than the underground spots around town and have much more expenses to cover. so if you want to check out someone like dubfire at a place with a state of the art soundsystem that won't get shutdown one hour into the party then there's a price you have to pay for that (both literally and in theory).
