This only shows how little you know about this forum, which is quite an accomplishment since you've been here since 2006. Then again it seems the only time you bother coming here is when Holden or Border Community have something on their horizon.

That pun was unintentional.

You guys would take that literally. Look, my point was is the crap anyone was talking about Holden was pretty useless. It shouldnt go on in here. It just makes you look like an idiot.

As James says... The Idiots are winning...

Regardless what negative opinions are said, one thing is for sure, Holden's popularity isnt dropping any time soon.

Funnily enough, I was out clubbing with a mate last week and we got onto discussing Holden, and after I'd ripped into Holden's laughable attempts to sell himself as a genuine experimental musician, my mate went "Oh, well I was going to see him in London next month but I won't bother now you've said that." So I'd like to think I'm doing my bit in the good fight.

You can stream it in full on this new weird pitchfork advance thing. I guess it's a way to counteract the almost inevitable leak these days? http://pitchfork.com/advance/136-the-inheritors/

From listening a bit I think it's actually going to be a really good record. I like the atonality and the overlying primeval theme, although to a lot of people it's probably just a bunch of wank. It's a pretty acessible and melodic record though IMO, in terms of IDM wankery it's nowhere near as bad as some of Ae's records for example.

I've listened to the podcast on the precious page. I don't really get why he has to hammer the whole 70's revivalist thing so much, could have done without the broken sounding krautwonk all over the place, although I suppose he doesn't have thát much to work with considering the sound he's shooting for.

That said, some really ace stuff in there as well, the part at around 36 minutes is pretty damn slick. And his own contribution is cool as well, I mean there's nothing wrong with wanting to reinvent that seventies' sound but it just sounds jarring when he keeps moving back and forth all the time.

That's ed up. Noone here is discussing Holden's ability to DJ. What I've seen from him as a DJ, he's interesting and plays emotive sets.

Youd like to think that but in reality you just have some impressionable friends.
