Where? When? Why? What's the purpose of using this quote, and how does it support your (inaccurate) thesis that trance is older than techno?

This is possible, but can you elaborate on why that year specifically? Sec 2.3 refers to 1999, but not specifically that year.

Unfortunately, I wasn't "there" in 1999. Based on all the live sets, classic tracks, and the stories of people who experienced that year, I've learned that it's one of the best years in trance.

It should be self-evident to anyone with any degree of education that, even setting aside the rampant historical inaccuracies of the book, it is written to an extremely poor standard and despite its pseudo-academic tone it falls woefully short of what is acceptable academic practise. Lews is noting the irony of you asking him to cite references when you have published and promoted a book claiming to be an educational tool that repeatedly fails to cite any references.
My suspicion is either your business model revolves around you publishing obvious trash and diplomatically marketing it despite your full knowledge of its poor quality, or you are as poorly educated as Mr Santiago and genuinely don't realise how bad this book is. |
