The only mix I even kinda like is the Sanctuary mix (the one on S&D: Expeditions)
The other ones sound so dated (not in a good way), maybe if I heard them in the right context I could get why everyone fanboys over them.

It's a decent remix, but the sanctuary mix sounds like a dj tool imo. It has a very subtle but effective buildup and would mix well for an interesting transition.

The Airscape remix peaked 7th in the Top 40 here and was in it for 29 weeks, so I guess only people living under a rock didn't hear that one.

I know some labels that have this procedure, they expect you to share the track only with them so basically if they reject it (99.9%) you can't share it with anyone (unless you reupload it, more work).
But this is not the reason why there's so much good music unsigned, the reason is that this music is far away from the kind of music that is being sold and promoted.
I'm not talking about 10 years ago, nowadays, the best music is made but small producers giving their music away or in very small labels.
