NO, HE DIDN'T HAVE IT READY. WE CAN ASSUME HE WAS JUST A PROTECTOR OF THE PEACE OUT FOR A STROLL AND TRAYVON WAS SAGGING HIS WAY AROUND, SWAGGERING AND ALL THAT, SO HE WAS PRETTY MUCH ASKING FOR IT IMO.
SMASHED ZIMMERMAN'S HEAD INTO A CURB. THE DEATH IS JUSTIFIED. |

| That's not proof of anything. Even if it was at point blank range, there'd still be gunshot residue all over him. Especially the sleeve of the arm he held the gun in. |

This is what I found:

The gun shot residue on the upper back portion of his sleeve could suggest that Trayvon was on top of him to the point that the gun was pressed back into Zimmerman's shoulder. If he had the gun drawn in a normal shooting position, the residue would be on the ends of his sleeves. Also, the existence of DNA other than Zimmerman's on the gun and holster could suggest that Trayvon went for his gun. This is all obviously speculation of course.
The other kind of weird thing is that there was eye witness testimony that placed a man in a white T-shirt on top of someone else during the altercation, and neither Zimmerman nor Martin were wearing a white t shirt. Even in the dark, bright orange or black should probably be easily distinguishable from white. |

What was he looking for, that he brought a gun? He was looking for something, it wasn't a coincidental meeting on the street. If Zimmerman actively sought out and killed a perceived threat that turned out to be nothing more than someone passing through, why is there no manslaughter charge? I can buy that he didn't set out to kill or murder him, but why did he invite this situation into his life? It's dearly irresponsible, and he is obviously a further danger to his community if he is inclined to kill a simple wayfarer.
To presume that either side started the fight is utterly irrelevant, because there is no evidence either way. It might as well be dismissed from opinion. The facts are that one person is dead, the other isn't, but the one who killed him admitted to following him for completely baseless and unfounded reasoning. |
maybe zim was trying to prevent something like this happening again.
"Olivia Bertalan was home alone with her infant son one morning last August when a man came to her door, knocked, and rang the doorbell. She peered out a window, didn't recognize the man and called police when another man came to her back door. Bertalan, 21, ran upstairs and locked herself and her son in a bedroom as the second man entered her home, which was in the Retreat at Twin Lakes, a gated, middle-income neighborhood of 260 townhouses in Sanford, Fla., outside Orlando. Terrified, she and her son cried as the man tried to turn the knob of the door where they hid. Both men ran when police arrived, but not before stealing a laptop and digital camera."

I've seen TEENS do it all the time. They walk down the street with their pants sagging and turn around everywhere to see if anyone's looking at them. They probably have no reason to do that, but they do. Its gangster. Trayvon was from a middle class family but he was acting gangster. He was stupid. It doesn't justify his killing but it gives some context to the evolving circumstances.

Fixed that for you.
Teenagers of all stripes pull that gangster and try to look intimidating while they walk around in public. It's equally disturbing, whether they are black, white, hispanic, brown, asian, whatever. Still not a legitimate reason to stalk and harass them, ready to shoot them if they react aggressively when confronted. Like, no they're going to defend themselves from some creepy stranger following them around in his car. |

| Zimmerman supporters seem to be mad they can't be creepin looking for some booty in their cars now with out being suspected as murderers and not just your average, casual upstanding rapist. |

Are there any pictures of Martin's body out there? Did he have any kind of wounds other than the gunshot? That would seem to be important considering Zimmerman had significant wounds on his face and head if Martin had none. That would support the self-defense argument.
Edit: Possibly NSFW

Doesn't seem to have any wounds at all. |

They were clandestine gay lovers engaged in an interracial, underaged tryst, and when Trayvon threatened to tell the police about it, Zimmerman gunned him down in cold blood. It's all so clear now.
I'll bet if we looked up Zimmerman's Bank of America charges that night, we'd find a deduction of $4.07 from a nearby 7-11. THE EXACT PRICE OF AN ARIZONA ICED TEA AND A BAG OF SKITTLES, WITH SALES TAX. |

I have no problem with the verdict. With all of the evidence considered, it was pretty clear cut self-defense. What I have a problem with is people painting Zimmerman as some Klansman who was chasing little baby innocent Trayvon with gun drawn looking to execute him in cold blood for darkening up his clean streets.
The whole race debate at this point is just silly. |
