Height is not really an advantage when the other person has a weapon. Crazy people carry weapons and are unpredictable, Zimmerman looks nuts. So ya, i would be more careful around zimmerman. |

why does it matter ? Your interpretation of what is intimidating doesn't give you carte blanche to go kill people. Black bears scare the out me. Does that allow me to go shoot your fiance ? Come on russel. I can't believe you honestly feel this way.
I think you are not used to black people and you are acting on some antiquated programming in the reptile part of our brain. 1 black kid in the day is not scary unless you have some unresolved automatic responses that should be treated. I mean if he isn't in jail, he should be in a ing hospital. I just don't get how a death can result in nothing. It wasn't accidental. Someone somewhere had some form of responsibility. You can't have someone die like this and now have blame somewhere.

And your assumption is also seeming to be that Zimmerman killed him because he was black, not because he was being pummeled senseless. |

You don't understand that Zimmerman put himself into a situation where he knew there would most likely be an engagement or altercation of some kind between him and Martin.
Also, as far as race goes, do you think that Martin would have been acquitted of charges had he stood his ground and Zimmerman attacked him? Both had a legal right to be in that neighborhood, out on the streets. The question is who started the initial altercation. Everything points to Zimmerman, even by his own admission.
I don't want to focus on race though, thats a stupid move to make in the south. It is racist, especially Florida, and there is racial tension between Hispanics and blacks too. As a prosecutor it's dumb as to try and play the race card down there. Where the did they go to law school? Playing the race card was another grandstanding gesture by a prosecutor or the DA to get attention for themselves. It was a miscarriage of justice in my opinion and sometimes its a damn shame that you can't sue for bad state prosecutorial practice. :whip: |
