I don't think anyone has the right to complain about air travel until they've travelled with Ryanair for more than one flight.

Ryanair probably just sent you a $5 invoice for mentioning them.

Also, you live in Van? Anything fun happening this weekend? I saw a few things on FB, but wondering if you have any ideas.

well i went solo, so yeah totally different exp. from others , but the vip zone were kind of situated in area's where there was sound bleeding from various stages, so it wasn't to pleasant just chilling around there for too long, while catching a break, other than getting the vip drinks , but the bathrooms were def worth it, and i did run into carl craig and julio bashmore while taking a wiz.

but i guess its just that my experiences outside of the festival were so great, that they overshadow whatever other memories i have (maybe because the club shows were more intimate? and once again i totally attest that to going solo) one time i randomly came across a event that was giving out free vodka and red bull the entire night

But i guess it was mostly just the sound i had a problem with, but i guess its like that at every festival, the crowd definitely made up over it though.

best dj i saw all weekend, and i didn't even get his name , and only caught by chance.

not too sure what's going on in vancouver this weekend, but i am going to check out seth troxler tonight, if demf is any indication of your taste in music, then check out the electric owl , its always great on weekends.

Ah yeah agreed, sound was wtf. I think you're right, the ENTIRE experience is what makes it, not just the actual festival itself. The after parties are 100% the best places to see dudes I probably won't have the opportunity to again.

And word, thanks for the tip. :)

A note to going solo: I met up with my gfs one year at WMC, just for the weekend, and they were all going to parties with like Swedish House Mafia and , so I basically partied alone all weekend. Went to the Amenti Music party and the crowd was mostly West coast Canadians, I met a lot of really nice people. I love going out alone, but probably because I love talking to randoms and seeing where the night will take me.

I also got faced at the Dirtybird/Mothership party that weekend...met these two chicks and we were drinking shots of JD and chasing it with Corona, lol.

Yeah the main bowl was pretty awful compared to other years. They moved the Beatport stage which is fine, but the MOOG stage, which is in the area the Beatport stage was the last time I went, was facing IN towards the plaza. I liked it way better when it faced the water, regardless of what stage it was.

yeah it was facing inwards again last year, the beat port stage ended up being my favorite it was right by the water, and the most secluded.

i vaguely remember riding back to the hotel one night totally smashed in the free shuttle provided, and i must of been telling some real good jokes, because all of the other passengers ended up giving me their drink tickets for the duration of the festival (about 20 in total) I ended up making a few friends along the way just giving them out for free as well.
