Coming from Northern Ireland I wouldn't reccommend here as the best place to live.

We've got the highest petrol prices in Europe, fire men going on strike, bombs and shootings, most amount of spides in a 1 sq km area, and cheesy pop/dance clubs!!!!!!

"GET ME OUTTA HERE!!"

wouldn;t know what country.... maybe france???

i like holland but the wether ain;t my style also the attitude of most people is just not cool enough.. i went on a hgoliday to spain and when i came back i thought most people here in holland aren't relaxed enough.. to egocentric and focussed on them selves..

but aside from that i would say holland (or aruba (i'm half arubian (or what ever you call it), but with the economical advantages of holland) :)

Except for Daft Punk's latest album, I don't think there's anything wrong with France :D

Sweden is the best :D

- one of the world's highest taxes
- bad trance scene (but it's on its way...)
- bad weather

+ Good health care for everyone
+ Good school for everyone
+ Honest people
+ Nice environment
+ Very organized
+ One of the world's (the world's?) most modern countries (mobile phones, computer, etc)
+ Subtitled movies (hate ing dubbed movies, I don't think i should survive in Germany or France or Italy where they dub every ing thing...)
+ Many other great things!

Romania is the best. You can buy yourself wives there for about 50$/piece. Here they don't go below 1000, and only the ugly ones are for sale.

To everyone who said "Holland," I've been to Holland and I didn't like it. The people weren't very friendly or open.

No wonder Amsterdam has recently been named one of the 4 least friendly cities in the world.

And yes, Holland is a bit overrated. Regarding Trance: You won't find many Trance CD's in your regular Dutch music store! Not at all! And many Dutch people hate trance!

Sorry I had to disillusion y'all.

I also don't like the UK because of the people there who are extremely cynical, unfriendly, sarcastic, and frigid. (One need only look at our UKTAs.)

I hope to go to Hamburg this summer; Germany is cool! Plus, a great dance/club music scene there. But in general, Denmark and Southern Europe tend to be "warmer" not only in terms of climate but also the people.

Nothing beats the USA, ultimately; in terms of opportunities, financial success, and living standard we are the best. We also have a lot of people living here, which is always great. Maybe we're not as diverse as Canada, though; and our social policies suck (too much restriction, influence of Christian Conservatives) BUT, despite all our flaws, we are a great place to live, and succeed in life. No wonder all immigrants want to move to the USA. Canada, Australia, Europe are "backup options."

My home country - Russia: Warm, hospitable people. Beautiful girls. A great place to grow up, for various reasons. We have crime and corruption, but we also have great, loyal, wonderful people who are not stuck-up, who are genuinely affectionate and warm in their culture. The Russian culture has great traditions, art, poetry (Pushkin), literary giants, great music, both classical AND contemporary!, Did I mention the girls? When you meet a girl in Russia, I guarantee you she will always smile at you, she will be very open and friendly with you, no nasty/bitchy attitude like in many other countries... The music: People in Russia like melodic music! Nice melodies have always been important in Russia. And this also applies to dance music. The climate: Yes, it gets cold in the winter and there's snow; but you can't compare that with the snowstorms that sometimes occur in the US! I am serious!
