I'll stand by that statement. most successful band of our time and probably one of the greatest.
more record sales more hit singles more anything then any other band in our time
by our time im going from early 80's till now.
Dr. DAS
When Axl said 'give me all the rights or I walk', they should've let him walk.
Slash and Duffy could've done so much better by the GnR name, and the fans, than Axl could ever hope.
Chinese Democracy is a big ing turd. 10 years in the studio = over-produced, arrogant garbage.
I miss the old UYI 1/2 days!
XaNaX
yeah its a shame the original lineup couldn't stay together

Record sales doesn't equal greatness, just ask the Tiesto haters about that
granted GnR had the most succesfull debut album of all time
They released 3.5 albums from 87-91, a cover album, and a live album.
If you wanna go to early 80s, then go to Metallica, who was very succesfull w/o Radio or MTV airplay and they did this for awhile, not to mention they were innovaters in the speed metal genre and crossed alot of barriers with mainstream radio airplay in the early 90s.
What did GnR do that was soooo great??? Once Nirvana bursted out onto the scene, GnR didn't know what to do with themselves cause all the GnR fans jumped ship

as a kid I always wanted to be either a rock star or a dinosaur...I had to come to the realization I'd never make it as a rockstar

Nirvana had 2 albums
and a demo in 1987
not much of a career
nirvana is put on a pedestal just because they have a cool story behind them.
nirvana is to rock as tupac is to rap....over hyped..

Bleech, Nevermind, In-utero = 3 Albums
...Nevermind revoltionized a generation
you argument that GnR is best band of our time is weak
