I think Nothing but you aka Artic Sucks :)
Another thing that sucks is pvd's new style. Scratchy dark progressive. Its not even good progressive. He starts with some trance ex. Solar stone, Inca, nu nrg stuff, then drops it down a lot into La La land, Dark beat, and some Liebing mix of whatever. Then throws in some trance ... words..... then ends it with Nothing but you. ehhh I think he has fallen from his thrown a bit. Maybe I feel this way because I’ve seen him nine times in the past four years.
He is playing lately bottom line .. Daft punk is another one he dropped in his essential mix set a few days ago :mad:

| Oh and another thing. If your spinning at one of the biggest events in the usa wouldnt you check you Cd's for scratchs first? |

I agree...on one condition
The original demo of Nothing But YOu that PVD was slamming in all his sets since last August is ing incredible, I love it more than anything.
But the mixes that got a full-release on vinyl all SUCK HORRIBLY! |

this is what makes pvd...all his releases arent his club tracks...although he likes to label them as club mix/remixes whatever you call it.. pvd is infamous for not-releasing his remixes. cuz he's the only one to play it and they are so good...

i know NBY final version sucks, but vandit mix is better than the original demo paul used to play anyway :p

I brought this all up in a previous thread. His radio sets are nothing like his live sets. Anyone who hears his radio sets would think PVD is a prog DJ. Bad advertising for a good product. Imagine what would happen if PVD did a 6 hour set playing only like he does in his last hour. I think it would be too much for anybody to handle.
I use to hate Nothing But You but it kinda grew on me. I still like Hemstock & Jennings - Artic alot more. |

hey john, your opinion is your opinion, that's fine, i respect that. i kinda wish more people felt like you and didn't go to his gigs so that there would be more room to dance and breathe for the people that truly love the music. |

So who am i ? I mean a person who has not missed 1 event since the mid 1998? Who goes to marco V walks into work after at 11 am hits sander at arc then does it all over again with work the next day and on ZERO drugs :D I geuss I hate this scene :toocool: |

the vandit mix sounds more like ATB not PvD:eek:
and about pvd's djing, hes the best mixer out of the djs that spin trance-theme sets.. armin, tiesto, ferry, oakey, none of them can match pvd's mixing skills.. j00f is also a great mixer that spins trance, but his style & pvd's is totally different so i wont compare them 2.. and pvd's current style of starting with trance, going techno in the middle of the set then going back to trance, i mean the man's tryin something different.. ppl all know what pvd's style is.. its only natural for a dj to try something new.. john,the best way to solve your frustration is to have long breaks when seeing the same dj.. then u can see how much different the set will be compared to the last time. honestly, no offense to the back2back pvd peeps but when u do that, arent the sets almost the same anyway? like the tracks that are played on night 1,2, and 3? |
