People were either spining jungle in the camping area or playing Jungle in their car steros. I felt like taking a bat and smashing their car up.

AHahha, no wonder you look like that. you just stood at the front for like 5 hrs straight.. but it was worth it i guess. its a good pic.

My review

Shuttle Bus
Worst part of the trip. Who ever organized this messed up. Half the people who purchased 2 oclock tickets had to wait for the 4 oclock bus, even after waiting there since 12!! I wasnt expecting SCHOOL BUSES with no luggage compartments! WHat do they think, we're going camping we're gonna have alot of stuff to bring :whip: :whip:

Venue
Was alittle smaller than I anticipated. The flyer boasted "massive indoor halls". ... I wouldnt consider those rooms massive, the psytance room was so small it was ridiculous, I went in there for 2 mins max. The flyer also said "outdoor concert stages". There was none of this. It wasnt too bad though. and most of all HOT HOT HOT HOT.

Camping
Its too bad we got there so late that we had to set up our tents quick before it got dark, which also meant that we couldnt go search for the TA campground. No grills, so we had to cook our food on some coals and a frying pan lol. Sleeping was bad, mainly due to a truck right beside our tents that played non stop jungle :whip:

Music
Perfect music. The hardcore room was insane, the lounge had some good stuff going on, and the mainstage! Wow. Nice set by Cor, and BT wasnt bad at all. I couldnt find the Tribe room though !! What on earth, I would have liked to go there.

Overall
Good party. Would have been better if the bus was more organised, they had some stages outdoors, and didnt play jungle the whole weekend. ;)

Racist remarks by our campsite at 6am Sunday? Well, I was still listening to Lost Witness then, but IF I'd heard those things coming from anyone's mouth, I would have personally given them a beating.

jim_rage= Tim... or is it Jim? That's whose name I couldn't remember. What happened to you the rest of the weekend?

And, uh... yeah. There were a few TA names added to the banner w/some funny quotes who were really not there in attendance (Highroller & partyprincess).
Plaptop
They werent from the TA site but close by. Some jackass was shouting some obnoxious .

wemf 2003 was fun, but I wouldn't go next year....

Overall, the music sucked. I think this wemf was more about dnb/jungle than trance. Cor blasted a powerful set that was the first to get me really excited the whole weekend. Orkidea was very solid his unique style really poured through. St. Pete also played 'classic pete trace' that always gets me dancing.
Breakthrough set for Schryer!!!!!! He had us all banging when we could hardly even walk anymore. Mike, this was the highlight of wemf for a lot of people! Thanks!!

The camping was a lot better than I imagined. We had lots of space for ourselves, and a really great group of people. Even with the least amount of planning, its great to see same-minded people come together and make the best out of a situation. More people should take to the tranceaddict ways and keep the vibe real.

Shouts to everyone...Eagerly awaiting review from 'Flash';)

Peace,
Rich

Just got off the phone w/Chad, and he had some interesting comments to say about our little trance-in-your-pants campsite.

He thought everyone was REALLY nice. "MUCH nicer than house people, even if their tastes in music are questionable" LOL! < and that's a big compliment, coming from Chad. ;) Hopefully, that'll be the end of his teasing me for liking trance.

BTW- if anyone's interested, Chad is spinning at Roxy Blu this Thurs nite, on Brant St (near King & Spadina), if you're into deep house. Chad's also the one who co-owns Acme Vinyl Corp., so if u know anyone who needs to press records, send them his way.

Getting there...
The shuttle bus sucked. We were supposed to be on the 2pm bus, yet the retards sold too many 2pm tickets. Finally got on the 4pm bus, yet it took forever to get there. Yellow school bus... WTF>?! $22 for that? total bs. Was expecting a coach bus. Hmmm.. chain smokers and potheads lighting up in the bus.

Venue...
The worst excuse of a venue ive ever seen. No outdoor stages... thanks to some stupid new bylaw. No ventilation. Saw people being dragged out by emt's. Line-ups to get in?? nice... pay money to wait in line to get into a building where i'd pass out. the "indoor" pool.... nice sandpit. 3 dollar water.... right.:wtf:

Camping...
Didnt find the TA campsite cuz we were forced on the later shuttle bus. (saw the Trance Addict sign on the window of the 2 pm bus) We camped w/ a bunch of ppl from Michigan. They were friendly and cool. No theives there. :p Saturday night after BT, we found som guy sleeping in our tent. His tent was beside ours :D Didnt care much for the stupid truck that didnt stop playing all day and night.:whip:

Music...
Kicked ass! Nothing more to say :D

Provitex

I see alot of people saying that. I saw several trance sets. Christ, WEMF even had a psy trance room. Not to mention that I caught 2 Trance and Trance Core dj's in the Tribe room, 2 in the main stage, and 2 in the back room. I also caught one at the Nightmare camp. Maybe you were at the wrong place at the wrong time? If you were looking for epic or progressive trance DJ's, yes, you were pretty much out of luck. Most the trance there was Psy, Trancecore, and Hard Trance.
