Also for those of you whom don't believe me check out my slightly out of date wesite at http://Geocities.com/TheEdgeProductions/ for more info about my company and me.

Here is a pic of my RIP 1992 Nissan Maxima SE 5-speed, minus the BMW e36 3 series Euro headlights that were installed just after the pics were taken.

The new Focus is a cool car and having both driven and sold them they actually also seem reliable, but again if I lived overseas I would much prefer the Peugot 206, Renault Clio GT-16 valve, VW Polo, Audi a3, or BMW Mini Cooper if looking at other cars in the same class.

Again just my opinion!

Yeah i know, I was watching the Finland rally just last night! :) I am an avid WRC, F1, and other racing fanatic. But notice all the other RS Drivers have not been doing to hot. Peugot's 206 is phat cause they have an excellent driver in Marcus Groenholm, and the RS driver who was in the lead after the first two stages was named... DAMN... Marcus Mayer, or something like that.. my memory fails me of his name, he is also a very gifted driver, but the rest of the RSForus' were down around 6th. Kinda sad to see how Subaru's WRX STI has been doing :)

I drive a 1991 Ford Mustang & I can honestly say that I will never buy ford again. I've never driven such an awful excuse for a car and the next time it breaks down I'm leaving it where it is & going straight to the closest honda lot. Fukkin ford.

er none of those European cars, except maybe the Mini Cooper S or A3 1.8T Quattro are in the same class as the Focus RS.

Cars in the same class as the RS are Seat Leon Cupra R, Civic Type R, Alfa Romeo 147 T Spark, and u might as well chuck in the road versions of the WRX (NOT the STi) and Evo VIII.

Pug 206 GTI cannot even compare to the RS's power and handling. It is nippy on the road, even on the twisties, but the RS is bred for that sort of thing. The VW Polo's current most powerful model is a GTi, but again, its nothing :stongue: . And I hope u mean the REnault Clio V6!

I've got a video of a Honda Civic EK keeping up with a mildly modified Viper as well, its quite cool.

and here in the UK, American cars aren't very popular cos of high running costs. Not only do some of them have a crappy MPG, but we pay too much for petrol here too. Older american muscle cars that were meant to go fast neglected driver comfort. I'm not talking about a harsh ride or whatever, but various things such as engine heat filtering in through into the cabin, stupid amounts of noise on the motorway.

If i had the money, I'd dump it all into my Seat Ibiza (VW polo cousin) and smoke Carrera's, Modena's and the like. it would involve the Seat Leon Cupra R engine (225 bhp stock), strengthened internals (Conrods, Pistons, Cams, Cam Gears, Head Gasket etc) uprated turbo, ECU and full exhaust upgrades, electronic boost conttroler for 1.5 bar. and of course a little shot of nitrous. But to get that sort of power onto the road effectively i would have to undergo a 4wd conversion otherwise i would spin the front wheels off! So if anyone wants to give me £25,000 ($37,500) for a 400+bhp, 750kg car, let me know! :D

Imports... realistically, I can never see myself buying an American car anytime soon. Look at my sig... that is my car and it is a turbo, mid engine, rear wheel drive Toyota. I smoke my share of American cars with it and in the twisties(where it gets really fun), I leave them behind. Racing is more than just going straight! :D

here is a list of cars Ive owned. all started with a 62 VW bug, then 67 camero RS, then 65 landrover, then 65 mustang, then 76 vette, finally I own Ze SVT focus. My bro has the WRX. Id have to say the most fun was had in the mustang, camero, corvette, and landrover. Even the bug and the old MGBGT i used to drive were fun at times. I love the SVT great modding car, Very comfortable. But until you have owned an old American Classic, youll just never be able to say it. You think you love your car right now, i know you do. But old car lovin be somethin different. and Ill always remember the day i sold my mustang as one of my largest regrets in life...

sigh now im depressed

cheers
