| eh, neons do look very "grandma/grandpa" stock. However, around here (Socal), the scene is slowing moving away from Civics and a lot of people are experimenting,on what else, but a Neon. Never in a million years did i think people were going to make a Neon look tight, but wow, they pulled it off and it looks AGGRESIVE. However, i don't think the machine can handle the stress of high performance tuning. all show, impossible for go |

| speaking of the srt-4... i've seen maybe 1 or 2 since it's been on sale. Also I have seen 1 EVO and 1 wrx STI. Now 350Z's and G35 coupe's on the other hand.... I see at least one everyday on the way to work. |

Very nice car, since if I remember it was a Joint venture with Cossworth which is an AWSOME company hince why I love the old Ford Sierra Cosworth, in the USA known as the stripped down version called the Merkur XR4TI which has the old SVO turbo engine power plant.
Again just my opinion!

The SVO turbo engine had a factory intercooler, the XR4Ti came without one. Even still, the 2.3 turbo in the XR4Ti outputted more HP/torque than the cosworth's V6 counterpart (the 2.3 gave out 175 hp/195 ftlbs of torque.. the Sierra's V6 output about 150 HP).
I wouldn't say the XR4Ti is stripped down, either. It had all the amenities of it's euro cousin... heated seats, power windows/mirrors, sunroof, etc. RWD, Independent suspension. But it didn't have the kick-ass RS-500 style front bumper... damn.
I got one that I am soon to register.. they're great cars. Very fun to drive! |
