Why do "tranceaddict in training" ask for downloading sources?

i just find it funny that people join these boards and ask us for downloading sources. this is a discussion board not a leeching board. i certainly wouldnt go into the supermarket and ask employee's for free food. be logical people this community does not support file sharing just go buy your damn music - and if the RIAA is trying to sabotage us - please dont even look at tranceaddict.com we are an EDM Community (electronic dance music) not a filesharing network! Most people of this community are artist in themselves.

Feel free to discuss and refrain from FLAMING - DISCUSS THE TOPIC
No one in particular or maybe one group in particular who pertain to this topic - point blank!

Remember opinons are like s, everyone has one. Please keep the discussion REAL and informative. As a community we should only grow.

Well said.

I actually think new topics about leeching music should be deleted (not only closed) immediately by the mods.

I agree that joining a board just for knowledge on download sources is stupid, this is a discussion board after all, but I notice a certain hypocrisy here.

If it wasn't for those download sources I wouldn't have been into house music the way I am now. In that way, leeching has really broadened my musical horizons. Can't say that I'm ashamed of that.
So, leech all you want but make sure you buy the album in case you like it.

Don't blame the TA's in Training too much, most of them are just getting to know the scene and the music and IMHO leeching can help them in that process. And I honestly don't see the use of joining a discussion site just for info on download sites. There are countless other sources for such information.

I just feel that when I see a new joining member ask for downloading sources, im not sure if they are ignorant to the RIAA situation or are they blantantly not knowing. Some may argue that members do join in hopes of expanding their musical horizons which is fine, but by all means please become familiar with the community prior to asking for anything. Its like the analogy I stated above. Would you walk into any supermarket or grocery store asking employees for free merchandise. vs regularly attending the same local grocery store and the employees offering a free sample of products they sell. from a marketing standpoint its legitmate but from a consumer's point of view the initiative should be taken from the prioprietors POV, not the consumers. You want the store to make the offer to show ur loyalty. Maybe my analogy is too indepth but the fact of the matter is you dont ask for something when its not offered. This leaves me with the assumption if RIAA is trying to sabotage tranceaddict.com by posting up fake request for downloadable music. tranceaddict.com doesnt support filesharing for once and for all. So please read the rules of all forums and understand that this EDM Community is about community growth and not about filesharing. You'd be surprise, some people of these boards have talent...they are only trying to express it.

does the RIAA know about this forum?(sorry maybe a stupid question.)

Also the supermarket example, i think you took a bad example, because everyone knows that a supermarket ain't for free, so no1 will ask for free food

For TA, well a new person on TA forum, doesn't know the rulez, and yes they are posted here, but who reads them? did you? i doubt it, because i sure didn't, i know basiclly no racisem and these kinda stuff on forums

EDIT:Kid can you put some spacebars in your posts, easier to read :p

If there were some sort of pinned thread in the forum I think the number of people asking about it would be very low... I think its extremely twatty how some people act towards new members when they have no way of knowing they are doing anything wrong. Its not so long ago there was a pinned thread in the chillout section offering help for the EMC hub members.

I think its an excuse for people to feel big, and its completely out of order

We have all been newbies at some point in life, and I fail to see the supermarked compareable to the internet. It would have been some gigiantic store, and would it be proper behaviour to gather in a store and have a massive discussion and simply open a forum? I am a newbie myself and I do not want to speak to loudly about stuff like this :)

Give the newbies a chance, they to will become seniors and such with time :p

There are no stupid quiestions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots

ive been on ta for while now but ive never downloaded anything off 'the hub' ever.. im not that desperate to hear that 'new ' that everyone + their moms are on.. i goto record stores and stay there for a while looking for tunes.. old, new, semi old, semi new, it doesnt in matter.. if its good its good.. just always seek those timeless tracks..personally, i cant speak for non djs, regular fans of the edm scene, but ppl say this n that about 'yeah, i'll buy the album when it comes out 'if' i like it..' but i wonder how many ppl outhere actually do buy them.. remember before mp3s became a phenomenonm ? you just had to take a chance on buying something.. sometimes its good, sometimes its not.. i find that way to be more pleasureable.. not knowing the tracks on the album and you pop in the cd and your just experiencing each track for the fisrt time[except for the obvious singles thats been released previously to the album].. nowadays, ppl are so freakin picky, like 'oh this track aint good enuff, he could have done so much better, this track needs a remix, i wont buy it for blah blah reasons...etc etc.' i just think that clubbers in our time are waaaay spoiled thru the internet technology and fail to apprciate what is the realy important... also another thing i in hate about mp3s are the MIS FUKING LABLED files.. i find this to be very very annoying.. and it doesnt happen from one source, it can happen from numerous areas.. from the person who ripped the vinyl, cd, etc, or to someone that just renamed it cuz they arent sure in the first place... , many ppl on TA still think the ORIGINAL mix of 2Players - Signet is the Plastic Angel remix.. like this pissed me off because then, ppl are misinformed, and it goes on and on.. it created this 'incorrect' tracks and artsists, and remixes and it will forever circle thru the net.. and its sad.. well, enuff of how i feel, continue the discussion ppl.. peace.
