You'd be better off with "no-party affliliation" because then you could vote for whomever you wanted without having any backlash and without any judgement. For example, when Clark (my vote is for him) registered to vote forever ago, there was no option for "no party affiliation", so when he voted non democratic, they are trying to use that against him. Clark wisely said that after the war in Vietnam, people couldn't decide the right way to run the country, so he voted for whom he thought would best take care of the country (Reagan).

yes, but i don't plan on running for office. i just want my vote in the primary because i want to say i put in my two cents on who should get the democratic nomination -- because i don't think it will be clark, although i'm pulling for him. election rules may vary from state to state, but i think you can only vote in the maryland primaries if you have a party affiliation. if you were registered independent, you used to be able to vote in either primary but i think that was changed.
i'm so tired of small things like voting records from 20 years ago being dredged up. of course hindsight is 20/20 but everyone thought reagan was the solution at the time. or at least the majority did. i would prefer a candidate to was willing to stray from the party line for the greater good of the country, so this nonsense about his voting for reagan is just that -- a bunch of hooey. |

I completely agree. It's ridiculous that his voting record should be brought back. It's the right of every American citizen to vote for whom they think will best take care of and control of the country. If citizens were pressed to simply vote for the party the registered for, we'd be ed (to be blunt about it) as a whole. If American citizens can't vote for whom they wish, then why even bother having an election? Just bunch them all together and that will be that.
Clark is still not well known, but I have a distinct hope that after New Hampshire, that he will prevail and knock Dean and Gephardt out of the way. :toothless |

me too. i'd really like to see clark pull off what mcgovern did with the '72 primaries. but of course, not things up after the primary. this election resembles the '72 election in a lot of ways, it's creepy. |

You know, I was just discussing that last night with co workers (which made me late for my work and I got yelled at :p)...
Anyway I'm off to studying again. Sigh.... it will never end.... |

So I went down to the record store after work today. First I ran into Wes (Solario - first DJ that played at the party in Dec). Then one of the guys there was talking about how 95.3 party is gone so now he listens to the global dj broadcast and we got to talking about how great of a DJ Markus Schulz is. WOOOT! Finally I picked up ATRC (Markus Schulz Coldharbour remix) and just played it in a small set. Now I know you all are hating on ATRC now, but damn that remix gave me chills.
Anyway... good stuff. That is all. |
