heh... well, i didn't see pvd at ultra. i saw him the night before at space and me and flo decided ' it, let's go check out freeland.' we were blown away. i don't know if he agrees (he is very high on tiesto's set) but i think freeland was the best dj i heard at ultra. he ing rocked it out so hard. perfect ending to a perfect day.

smells like teen spirit!!!!!!!!

I still can't believe they played that and a Beastie Boys tune, too. :conf:

Don't get me wrong, I like these songs, but they had NO place at ULTRA.

That's my opinion, anyway.

well, if you were there when freeland dropped smells like teen spirit, you'd be singing a very different tune. the 70-80 people on that stage went absolutely berserk! cause that remix by freeland kinda sucks... a huge, huge build up... and then . so me and flo were both expecting the TY part and when we heard those drums kick in, we looked at each other and just started jumping around like madmen. it was ing insane. :toothless my opinion is, if a dj can surprise you like that, it's amazing. for example, despite my hatred for pvd as a dj growing, i give him HUMONGOUS props for dropping DJ Tiesto - Flight 643. completely unexpected. but smells like teen spirit just destroyed me. that moment will be VERY hard to top by any dj, for me at least.

are you serious man? how could you not have went crazy? i mean, you realize that is freeland's style right? i mean, in his essential mix last year he played ratm - killing in the name of. most of his tracks and remixes have drums that sound extremely rockish. he's what kurt cobain would've been, had he been a dj rather than an incredible songwriter. maybe not... :tongue3
