my night at work started out ty, but i got a a good laugh out of it now. when i got to work it was busy and one of the waitresses took her break because she was on a double. the food runner was new and kind of worthless, so i was running food and taking care of more tables than usual, plus i was groggy from my bizarre-of-late sleeping habits.
i went downstairs to get some food for a table, got it on the tray, and started up the stairs. when i got to the third to last step, i tripped, fell and dropped the damn tray of food. even worse, i landed on one knee, skinned the hell out of that, and skinned one of my ankles, and was yelling obscenities. four years of waitressing and i've never dropped a tray... guess i was due for it! the guys whose food i dropped were good sports about it. they made me take shots with them later then left a huge tip. they also wanted to take me to atlantic city with them as a good luck charm, but i was obviously working.
anyway, i'm a bit sore but entirely amused :) hope y'all had a good weekend! |

Allo all. I just got in a short while ago. I got my tables. :gsmile: Gemini XL-500 IIs. My friend couldn't find the mixer he was gonna let me borrow, which is a bummer. :( However, the guy who sold me the tables has an extra mixer which I should be getting friday. Also need a power strip. I'll take pics of my setup as soon as everything is ready and neat.
That's the good part of my day. Now for the ed up bad part.
I just found out today that next friday will be my last day at my current job. Temp....damn it. So, tonight, in celebration of getting my tables, for my job ending, and for a special friend, tonight I will be hitting MIA lounge and I'm gonna major league in' FUBARed tonight. |
