the whole point is lots n lots of ppl , follow trends, n dont really look to what they truely like ... they guy's listening to hiphop .. he's like "yo tis is ma fav song" ask him to sing the lyrics .. he wouldnt b able ta .. y? cuz its nelly's (for example) g2b good ,, every one likes him ... |

Like R.J. I too have listened to Hip-Hop longer than I have electronice, and still I love Trance more than any other gengre out there or ever created.
To the topic at hand. The majority of the population of any land will naturally like the music their culture has made mainstream. It's almost as we are programmed to accept something before we are ever given the option of a selection from which to choose (ie: you follow whatever religion your parents happen to belong to).
And, generally, most people conform, because of social pressure to accept what is the norm and because of the basic human fear of the unknown , therefore the status quo lives on. |

I hear you on that,..but it should be kicking in Europe, your from spain. I mean its not big here in the US cause they think, if theres raves around..theres drug flow..i mean theres drug flow anyhow.., if you cant beat them, join them ( is what i say ). I dunno really..but..if most of the people here knew just how wicked it is to be at an event like Sensation,gatecrasher,InControl, or Defcon1. They would change their mind, or atleast give trance a chance, know what i mean. Well that my opinion.:) |

In qontrol , defcon1 and most q-dance parties arent for trance people lol, q-dance events are mostly techno, hardstyle,early rave , hardcore and hard nrg |

The bottom line is people are different. I'd like to think that music taste falls in a normal distribution curve, and 95% of the people listen to the stuff played on radios because that's just what they like.
I'm not sure, but I think once you reach a certain age, it's just too hard to change your music taste also. You want more people to listen to trance? Play it on the radio for the new generation of kids, and maybe you can get the media revolved around the topic to enhance their lust for it. Kinda like the way it's been done now with Hiphop. |
