Sandstorm, did u ever have a look on your nickname??
I wonder if you did, why on earth are you talking about OAKIE like this.

Oakenfold, this guy SERVED music, I doubt anyone, I mean any trance addict ofcourse can live without his 98-2000 sets, I can't myself !

I still believe in the guy, and I still believe he can come back cz the guy simply is gifted and someone like him, it's not that difficult for him to come back to his form.

Meanwhile, my answer is YES, and I would be the happiest TA on earth.

ok tit ur funny :eyes: :stongue: :haha:  :haha: :stongue: :). Is my nickname really sandstorm? OMFG TEH NOOOOOOB :eyes: :stongue: :haha:  :haha: :stongue: :eyes: :stongue: :haha:  :haha: :stongue:

Anyway he doesnt like trance anymore, guess he grew out of it. If he were to play trance today what music would this be? Let me guess ASOTy? Mix some not so uplifting trance and weak prog? Thats the last thing we need right now. He could team up with AVB & Markus and play the most boring tracks on the planet.

No ing way. Oakey was godly because his formatting and his track selection. Paul played tunes that grew on people, AVB just plays ch00ns that he knows people will love because it follows the same format as every other song on his ASOT show. The guy has no formatting whatsoever if you ask me.

Don't get me wrong, I love AVB and ASOT, but I'd much rather prefer Oakey's sets from his EM tour.

god damn...those are siiiiiiiiiiick.

I never said I prefer AVB to Oakey of the past... but the past is the past... and like I said the music has changed... and AVB's predictable tracklists are predictable because he spins them on the radio every Thursday... with DJs getting so much exposure these days it's hard for things to be unpredictable and fresh. I mean look at Oakey's tracklists from his EM world tour... you'll see quite a bit of overlap...because the shows were pretty close together in date... new (that's good) doesn't come out that often.

I agree. Oakenfold was sick back in 1998, 1999, and in 2000. He is still a good DJ/artist/producer...I am not saying that he isn't. Anyone that has read my posts about him knows what I think. After his so called "performance" here on March 2, 2004 I would rather see someone else at the top. I base my opinions on personal experiences. You guys can bash me all you want, but you weren't there. I was a fan until that night. Not a huge fan, but still a fan just the same. Now I just respect the music...not the artist.

i saw him @ avalon boston last year. He "killed" it, i wanted to leave 15 mins into his set. The best thing he droped was 1000 beautiful things.

It wasn't what he played...it was something else that he did.
