Mark Oliver and Tiesto tore it up with some great trance!!!
Being able to see and breathe due to the smoking ban :)
Having good weather for the patios.
Pot was EVERYWHERE :p

The Bad:
More packed than Ferry Corsten with sauna temps on the dancefloor
Crowd was not a typical Guv crowd...ginogina.com must have been sponoring the event.
Washroom situation was ridiculous.
Some jackass closing the patio door on my finger

The Ugly:
on the patio, overhearing someone saying "Guy, I'm SO wired...I took like 5 ephedrine!"

Another good time at Guv, but I spent half my night on the patio chatting with people because the temp and crowd inside was too much. Too bad, because the music was great! Tiesto needs to be in a bigger venue!!!!!

i agree with markt

too many freakin ginas/ginos, i felt like i was in chochh town.lolol

Don't normally post a review but this is an interesting story. As for the Guv and Tiesto. I used to love the guy, he got me into it, and I still like listening to the old sets and tunes, but Trance these days and for the last little while does nothing for me. I went since it was RJ's birthday, many people were going and I thought I'd give'em one last chance. So company aside, wasn't that great IMO.

Now, why I will never forgot this evening. I go the bathroom, standing at the urinal, buddy beside me is flying high, huge pupils etc. Average looking guy, jeans, t-shirt, shaved head, on the chubbier side. So he goes "having a good time", you know, people just start talking when they're like that. I responded back "ya dude, having a great time", silence follows. Then I get "what's your name?", so I respond back to him "Kevin", I didn't ask him anything, just answered his question. Again, back to silence, then he sort of leans over a little and looks down, as he goes "can I see your cock?" I look at him in confusion (he was dead serious), "excuse me?!", he stands for a second, and repeats himself. I said " no!", he goes "are you gay" I said "no", he finishs up right as he says "oh sorry".

WTF!!!

Oh that's a great story ! Ha when things like that happen I find it hilarious. I am sure if it happened to me I would have had a good laugh after. I am glad that I don't have to pee right beside another girl, who came up with the urinal conecpt anyway??

What a fantastic night. Yes despite the inital crowded atmosphere which was well on the level with Labor of Love a few years ago, the night ended up being one of the best nights this year. Why they didn't do it in Kool Haus will remain a mystery to me especially seeing as how its always been near packed when they have put him in there in past years. Too bad to see them actually turn people away at the door because they were at capacity. The nice thing was that later on after 2:30 the floor cleared up quite a bit so we were able to walk around without much hassle. At any rate we just barely got in time to hear Tiesto opening with A tear in the open I think?

Guestlist got us in through the ex-Goldclub Lounge area so seeing that there was no way we'd have a good time entering the absolute sea of people below in the Guvt, decided to watch the first part of his set from up there and honestly it was just as much fun. So great to see all the party people out in full force dancing and having a genuinely amazing time. Tiesto's set fueled the energy in that place so well it was hard not to dance. I suppose the nice thing about it being in the Guvt was that we had the benefit of the excellent laser setup that Guvt is known for. The laser guys really got into it timing the effects with Tiesto's beats. Heard a few of the new tracks of his new album - A Tear in the Open, Adiago for Strings, Love Comes Again, Traffic, etc. Loved the tech-trance feel that his set had to it. I personally thought it was one of his best sets (that I've heard). Talking to people after the party and at Cor Friday night it seemed that it was a feeling a lot people shared.

He was actually "warming up" prior to his set up in the Drink during a fashion show up on Skybar. From what I heard then I could tell he was going to bring his a-set. Props to Tiesto for making it a truly great night. Guvt - next time think about using Kool Haus! Looking forward to PVD in a couple of weeks! See you all there.
