Well here Goes:
Tiesto: As most had said before, not bad, but number one? he got a little tired towards the end of his set and the mix;s got a little sloppy (better then any of mine ofcouse. lol. OH Those that got CD's tell me what you think please! i gave out 20)
Tunes: A&B - Noone on Earth, Evenscence - Hello (Bootleg Mix), Tiesto - Traffic & Love Comes Again, Mojado Feat Mr Sam - Naranja (Mr Sam Vision)
Oliver: Good stuff from him, open and close. thanx for him to close out the night. made a big differnece actually. For those that left early shame, missed a good set. He got hard for a bit with some techno then went to uplifting vocal. Encore was awsome, a dub remix of Olive - Your Not Alone.
Tunes: Matt Hardick Vs. Smith & Pledger - Connected, AVB - Burned With Desire, 5th Dimension - Rain of Emoation (Masters and Nickson Remix)
Tune of the night: Delerium - Silence (Tiesto) To cap of fthe night
Thumbs Up: All the TA's, Lighting, Quick Line, Pretty Girls, no (minimal) Smoking inside, Hard core party ppl till 6:30 in the morning
Thumbs Down: Heat, Packed fuller then a can of sardines (Thats a given), Security being a bitch to kick ppl out.
Thats all. its noq 9:48 am and i have not been to bed since yesterday dat 7:30am so bed time.
PVD Here we come

tiesto is a mothering bitch ass.
terrible set... soo many ty tracks played.
Maybe he should have been digging through his crate for some good records rather than signing autographs all night long.
The vibe was especially terrible with people pushing around and just being ing s.
Nevertheless, I guess it was ok to hear a&b - no one on earth... meh
Fijneman tonight is all I can say!

I really enjoyed Tiesto's set a lot... definitely worth the trip from kingston.. Tons of amazing tracks That I have never heard before... Some huge ass buildups.. I bet the cosmic gate-ultra curve is one of them.. does anyone have a full tracklist? maybe we can try and put one together? was this set recorded? I saw a guy with a video camera too.. if someone already mentioned this in another review im sorry I was to lazy to read all of them :P
see you all at PVD!
PS I hate the Guv.. horrible horrible!!! |

So far so good, lots of room dance, and we also find out that former Gold Club lounge is also open, and people can smoke in there. Crowd is excellent, very different from regular Saturday night crowd. Young and beatiful people(mostly)
|
can you still hear the pounding beats from the gold club lounge? is that where any and all types of smoking (tobacco and the wacky tabacky) have to go down? has the guv tightened up on smoking in the main room? |

wow, what a night.
first and foremost i want to say thank you to margs for waiting outside with my ticket! and i promise i'll pay you @ pvd! :wtf:
tiesto was pretty decent. i was enjoying the tunes, the vibe was cool (crammed together with smiles :p) and the crowd wasn't too shabby at all :D
mark played really really well too, open and close. i liked the latter moreso (it's the techno in me) and especially with the extra space. the tracks that i heard tiesto play have probably already been mentioned, so i'll mention some tracks mark o played:
__ Renato Cohen vs Tim Deluxe - Just Kick (Carl Cox Edit) (will be hearing this one again most definately on the 30th:D
__ DK8 - Murder Was The Bass
__ Mauro Picotto - Awesome (Yoji Biomehanika Remix) or Mauro Picotto - Iguana (Yoji Biomehanika's Hellhouse Remix) (not sure which one is correct, but damn.. never thought i would hear that in a club, no less @ guv early in the friday morning! :wtf: )
overall:
tiesto = 8/10 . was a great set, but it just didn't have that something special to make it a 9 or a 10. maybe my trance tastes have waned, i dunno.
mark oliver = 9/10 . played a stellar opener (the 1.5 hours i caught) and completely rocked his closing set. amazing how he can jump from techno to hard house to uplifting sing-along trance. very good job mark, as always.
wish i woulda stuck with the TAs all night instead of getting squished upfront snapping photos of tiesto.. which should be online either tonight or tomorrow. also shot some vids.
and last but not least, shoutouts to everyone i talked to and danced with! |

10:51am just getting home and soon going to hit the sack.
Wooooow that was ing an amazing night. Hands down the 2nd best party ever that I have been to.
Tiesto's set was pure sickness every track was amazing same with Mark Oliver. There's not one thing to complain about towards his set . But the heat was insane.
It was wicked meeting all of the Ta's last night.
See you all at PVD ! |

WOW...what a night!
We just got home (Kingston) so I'm not going to write too much. I got to meet a lot of TA's. Stood by StarSearcher all night (which I didn’t realize I met him back at Decadence)...he knows his ! We had been hanging around the guy that got Tiesto's headphone...very envious. I met a lot of other TA's but have an issue with memory last night. I can't believe how freakin hot it was in there...the hottest night I've ever had at the Guv.
Mark played a solid set as usual. I really liked his closing set - especially ending it with Silence! Love how he played Burned with Desire.
Tiesto - Loved the Canadian flag with Tiesto written across it. The chanting wasn't long however it went on through out the whole evening pumping everyone up! It was incredibly packed and hot, however I had one of the best seats in the house, right in front of Tiesto, against the stage.
Song highlights: No one On Earth (G&D Mix), Lightscape - Inner Warmth, Viva - Runaway, Rendezvous - Salt Lake, Loops and Things, The Lagecy - Saltwater, Who's the starter, Walking on Clouds, Forever Today, Traffic (I know it's a little old but Tiesto had everyone there drawn into it) he opened with A tear in the Open and now I absolutely love that song and listened to it three times since I have been home.
Thank goodness they opened the Orange Room bathrooms as the lines ups were unreal.
Disappointed that he didn't play flight 643,Sunday Afternoon, Mark Norman - Phantom Manor, Red Carpet - Allright and was hoping for Southern Sun, Amazon, RankOne - Breathing (Airwave, Breaks) and Nothing 93 remix (I know they are oldies too but I love them). I really can't complain because I knew the majority of songs he played and they were awesome!
Tiesto remains my number one DJ and I'm contemplating going to Montreal tonight!! But I can't see that happening. I wish he came more than once a year.

what A night.....sitting at work right, my years are still buzzing and I will need another 3 or 4 cups before the end of the day.got there around 12. , happy about the ticket holders line.....there was none. walked right in.....
Tiesto came on and the place just went crazy.
Mark O closed down with some amazing stuff.
Didnt want to leave at all.
The only problem as usual, there was no space to dance.
I hope they move PVD to Kool H. The guv cant take it. Is anyone listening!!!???
later guys ;) |

Yeah, forreal!
I was in the area with all the wankers or something?
But tiesto attracted alot of stupid ass ppl -- lot of guys pushing through the crowd and trying to be tough or something
A lot of mindless people just chanting tiësto's name for no reason.
We should have been chanting Mark Oliver's name!
Sunday Afternoon was nice ;D |
