The set was good, really good, but not nearly as good as his last year's set and the set he played in Kool House in 2001 ; )))
Loved the techy and trancy parts of his set, got really bored during the progy and vocal parts of the set.
What were the encore tracks he played? Were there two or three of them???
Can't wait for PVD, for some reason I dig his sets waaay more than Tiesto's : )))
PS And yeah, if that event was in Kool House that would make the night twice better than it was yesterday!!!! |

Its official EVERYONE knows Tiesto. From the 50 year old Dutch tourists who commented on my soccer jersey and started chanting tiesto on the subway to the rammed packed room full of ginos who wouldn't know another trance dj from a hole in the ground. But its all good, everyone was extremely hyped up and the vibe in the guv was off the hook (not as good as the docks last year though). Tiesto played a great yet predictable set (not a bad thing if you like it all). And Mark O totally slammed it out afterwards... nice and hard to some vocal stuff at the end.
Only one complaint that wasn't expected. They should have had some light on Tiesto who istead was hiding in the shadows all night.
Its also official, Tranceaddict is a household name. To all the lurkers who scare me by knowing who i am: show yourself and be heard.
Shouts to all who made this night f'in great. |

Four more hours before I leave work. :( But the choons from last night are still ringing in my ears!! Awesome night... Tiesto didn't disappoint, thank God! I'm still trying to figure out if I liked this performance more than at the docks last year but I guess they're both really good and I can't pick one over the other.
Guv was packed yet there was a good vibe, smiles everywhere. As for the barbies on stage, I didn't mind at all. :toothless Bring on the eye-candy is all I have to say. I stayed in the smoking lounge and at the back of the main room most of the night. I was pretty amazed by how clear and bright the club was now that the smoking ban is in place. It was nice seeing so many TAs out last night and I'd like to send a big shout-out to PartEgurl and tw1tch who I met for the first time last night. OK, back to work I go... |

It's no surprise the ginos and ginas were out in full force. The event was being promoted on ginogina.ca (according to my sister) and I believe that was also a free pass contest. |

I think you will have to show me a pic of yourself, because I met too many ppl in a small time frame. I must have met 20 TA's all within 2 hours. I was trying to remember first names, TA names, and looks. Plus it was hard to hear what people were saying in the first place. I am a little mixed up with some people. Tordon, sorry dude, your one of them. Refresh my memory? |

I was actually one of those people. So were some of my friends. However, it wasn't mindless. People were chanting his name a few minutes before he came on, which is pretty normal and shows that this crowd is ready to see Tiesto. People were also chanting Tiesto's name during his set, which isn't mindless either, since we wanted to show that we do appreciate the fact that he is spinning and we are enjoying his set.. If more people chanted his name I'm sure he would've spun longer, and played a better set. |
tiesto is a mothering bitch ass. |

Let's look at the bright side, if i see a beer bottle flying in the general direction of my head sometime tonight, i'll know where to look for you in the crowd |
Did you even go last night? I was looking for you, but you were nowhere to be found. |

Maybe I'm just Tiesto'd out....
I thought that was the weakest performance of all his trips to Toronto. I have seen him 8 or 9 times now and he always seems to play better in other cities....
So packed, to be expected though. But really, girls dancing on stage all night was rediculous, and Tiesto was in the dark and never really got into it at all.
I had a better time listening to his cd at my house beforehand.
And the Tiesto chants were terrible save for the one b4 he came on. Random bums yelling his name for like 5 seconds.
One last thing to be picky ......A lot of other cities and Toronto usually chant Ties-To Ties-To, as in 2 syllables. Last night it was Ti-es-to Ti-es-to. Don't like that at all.
Koolhaus would have made it 10x better. |
