That is the last time I am going without earplugs at Guv. I'm usually good about it, but I guess it takes a few of those 'how bad can it really be?' incidents to remind you WHY you wear earplugs.
Rule of thumb: always wear earplugs unless u are at Boa (not needed- pure clean sound!).
And a tip: earplugs are FREE at Guv- just go to the candy/ cigarette stand in the main entrance.
(very stoked to be seeing Mark at Viva once again tonight, but i'll be wearing plugs for sure!) |

well my very late review of tiesto @ guvernment:
took the bus from hamilton to toronto got there chilled at some bars then left for guvernment and a once in a lifetime oportunity happened and a enzo ferrari drove by it was the most amazing sight and sound i've heard and seen. neways got in round 10:10 and mark oliver was spinning a gr8t set. Then tiesto comes on and the places goes crazy. His set was good but not great, it coulda been alot better considering the good vibe in the place. I think oliver played the best for the crowd vibe.
Mark Oliver:9/10
Tiesto: 8.5/10
I don't think tiesto was really wanting to be there last nite bc he never really acknowledged the crowd when his name was being chanted and everything else.And good meeting some ta's can't remember all your names but good meetn ya.

Amazing night, clear club from smoke, too many people( I heard they over sold the event by 1000 tickets) and speaking of tickets did anyone buy tickets from the scalpers cuz they wanted 60 bucks for 1 ticket LOL and the guv was selling them for 40...
Tiesto Rocked once again...

The Good:
barely a lineup getting there after 11pm
Mark Oliver and Tiesto tore it up with some great trance!!!
Being able to see and breathe due to the smoking ban :)
Having good weather for the patios.
Pot was EVERYWHERE :p
The Bad:
More packed than Ferry Corsten with sauna temps on the dancefloor
Crowd was not a typical Guv crowd...ginogina.com must have been sponoring the event.
Washroom situation was ridiculous.
Some jackass closing the patio door on my finger :mad:
The Ugly:
on the patio, overhearing someone saying "Guy, I'm SO wired...I took like 5 ephedrine!"
Another good time at Guv, but I spent half my night on the patio chatting with people because the temp and crowd inside was too much. Too bad, because the music was great! Tiesto needs to be in a bigger venue!!!!! |
