A little late w/ the review, but better late than never.
This was my first time seeing Tiesto and he didn't disappoint although i wished he spun some more classics though im not surprised he didn't. ATN - Miss a day sounded so good live, as did adagio for strings...one thing i didnt like were people pushing through when there was no room to begin with..i blame both those idiots and the owner for not having him inside the kool haus.
Met some t.a's there which was cool.
Overall id give the night a 8.5/10
btw i was right beside the guy who caught tiesto's headphones, what a lucky wanker :whip: |
I am glad there are those who love tiesto!! We booked him back in 2000 and 2001, that was when he was the best. Years of of touring and work have tired this great dj out. I regrettably did not go to guv for this very reason. He has had his time in the spotlight. Respect to you all who believe in it still. In Trance we trust....yellow1 |

tiesto is a mothering bitch ass.
terrible set... soo many ty tracks played.
Maybe he should have been digging through his crate for some good records rather than signing autographs all night long.
The vibe was especially terrible with people pushing around and just being ing s.
Nevertheless, I guess it was ok to hear a&b - no one on earth... meh
Fijneman tonight is all I can say!

yah...lol...the Guv has too many stupid ppl pushing and shoving.. thats why i never went this time/also the #1 dj track listing and presentation is suffering from over work and lack of presentation!! he needs to take a break then come back on strong.. but like with most djs like myself included.. use it or lose it!!or shall I say milk it b4 it dies!! Maybe armin is the other box to check... |

Maybe I'm just Tiesto'd out....
I thought that was the weakest performance of all his trips to Toronto. I have seen him 8 or 9 times now and he always seems to play better in other cities....
So packed, to be expected though. But really, girls dancing on stage all night was rediculous, and Tiesto was in the dark and never really got into it at all.
I had a better time listening to his cd at my house beforehand.
And the Tiesto chants were terrible save for the one b4 he came on. Random bums yelling his name for like 5 seconds.
One last thing to be picky ......A lot of other cities and Toronto usually chant Ties-To Ties-To, as in 2 syllables. Last night it was Ti-es-to Ti-es-to. Don't like that at all.
I go to europe to see these djs play...thats their turf so they gotta play it right!!!tiesto's only gig of honourable mention to date was "tiesto in concert" May 10 2003.available on dvd thats the real .. not these fluff cd tour promotions that er.. suck. ya dig? |

I had a choice between PVD or Tiesto, but I chose PVD... Man...
I pray that PVD drops that bomb tomorrow night. |

Well, I remember who threw Wintergalactic...so "you" have not been forgotten...although I'm sure I've been forgotten...I was working at that party and remember a few of the people...and have seen one around from time to time at parties.
so put the doubts to rest...what promotion company threw the party and who are you? :D |

lol, I figured you were with Sonic State...a friend of mine knows (or knew) Andre...and a girl who's name escapes me...I met someone else that night who was working the door too (to help ID the guestlist people that I didn't recognize like when Deadly Headly walked in with women on each arm, LOL)...Michael, I think...I used to see him around at parties, but not lately.
I heard about the sketchy demise of Sonic State...didn't someone basically take off with a bunch of $$$ from a party or people didn't get paid? Rumours. I don't know the whole story. I missed Armin when you guys brought him though... |
