Here's my review...
needless to say, the night was wayy too crowded.. worse than ferry corsten in march, and honestly, if it weren't for tiesto spinning that night, it would have completely ruined the night. If its the same at PVD, i seriously will consider not going there again if theres a big headliner and he's not in the KH.
THe music: Wikked!!
Mark Oliver played an amazing opener/close. Wikked tunes especially about an hour b4 tiesto came one.
Tiesto played a good set, but he wasnt the Tiesto that amazed me last year at the docks. That night, he seemed like he wasnt really that energetic or into it really, not like last year. He seemed like he was tired... maybe cuz of that ridiculous schedule of his. But regardless, i love his new style, and the music he dished out was sikk!!... I didnt really like the first few songs, but once walking on clouds came on, it was awesome from that point. I dont really like a tear in the open... would have been better if he opened with forever today IMO... He didnt really do anything special to show/prove he's the "#1" dj in my mind, but i still think he is because i know what he is capable of.
I will say this tho, his new tracks SOUND AMAZING!!! its one thing to listen to just be off a cd, but in a club, all those tunes rock!!! Walking on clouds, Adaigio, Nyana, traffic, forever today :eyes:..The club was absolutly jumpin when these tracks came on... No doubt in my mind that Tiesto's productions right now are second to none.
Lighting setup was amazing... too bad it was a sauna in there. I hope things change for PVD. |

White Room
Riva - Runaway - don't remember hearing it unless Mark Oliver played it.
Tiesto - Traffic was the Montana Edit so we should fix that.
Loops and Things - Marco V - maybe Mark played but Tiesto sure didn't.
Rah - Pole position...hhmmm possible but i don't remember 100%
Mark Norman - Rush was most definitely played but Mark
Salt lake rendezvous - also not sure if Tiesto played...Mark perhaps :)
So yeah I exagerated of course about half...but we should probabbly separate what Mark and Tiesto played...Awesome sets from both though I wish Mark was playing things like that more often ;) |

You could have jet engines powering the A/C that night but in a club with that much energy it would still be hot (esp in the summer)
Remember that a club has thousands of mini heaters at 98 degrees in the form of bodies. |

| I still think the second track was Starkid - Crayons |

A little late w/ the review, but better late than never.
This was my first time seeing Tiesto and he didn't disappoint although i wished he spun some more classics though im not surprised he didn't. ATN - Miss a day sounded so good live, as did adagio for strings...one thing i didnt like were people pushing through when there was no room to begin with..i blame both those idiots and the owner for not having him inside the kool haus.
Met some t.a's there which was cool.
Overall id give the night a 8.5/10
btw i was right beside the guy who caught tiesto's headphones, what a lucky wanker :whip: |
