Ah but there is a difference... the only person who gets hurt by drugs is the person who voluntarirly takes them. Just like at gay pride, the only people who get shot are the willing!!

| I dont like caribana and i dont like the thug element. But there is no way that i think they should ban it. Thats stupid. But maybe the border should think about being a little more strict on that weekend by possibly doing more criminal checks and cracking down on security. That could help a lot. Far be it for me to tell somebody that they cant have fun. I think people are just sick of having thugs take over the city once a year thats all (and increasingly all year) |

| well i almost parked my car and walked into to the Guvernmnet then i realize... that there is alot of SUV with 23" blink blink rims in the parking lot then my friends in my car said... ... is Caribanna and GUv had speical event all we end long then we left... |

Actually, Festivals Ontario is an organization that focuses on smaller, community events. You won't find any of the Top 5 Festivals in Ontario on that list. |

This used to be a board where people who loved music could get together to talk about trance. Now it seems that a few very vocal people have decided it is the opportunity to put forward every idea that pops into their brain: intelligent, dumb, or just plain offensive.
Yes, if those of us who find this offensive just leave, then we have let those who want to turn tranceaddict into something different win. It's as simple as that. |

The way I see it:
Caribanna is a cultural event to be enjoyed by the city of Toronto. Just like any other large scale event, there are certain individuals who get off on ruining it for everyone else. As someone else said, it is not your scene. Just leave it at that. |
