Can you illustrate a current example of women not getting equal pay? everywhere ive worked and everyone i know is getting the same money. As for crappier jobs, thats very subjective because guess what? Many women take part time jobs in order to be there for their kids (this actually does still happen). To make comparisons you have to compare 2 identical jobs, not apples and oranges. |
Jay, you work at Quiznos. We're not talking about the guys and gals toasting subs.
The only way to prove these things is through anonymous studies because talking about salary in the workplace is so taboo. |

like i said, it would be interesting to see who authors the studies and whether or not they are comparing the same job, education, years of service etc. There are many things that leave subjectability.
Here's a good question and i'd say a more important one. Would everyone be up in arms if there were more women making better salaries than men? |

aaaah but feminists hate chivalry. I thought chivalry was machismo and wrong? Which is it? equal rights or chivalry? How about a little chivalrette? |
women want both ;) give em what they want and they will give you what you want |

shadowwolf: you my friend are a suckah!
What about what i want?
I remember this friend i had who went on and on about spending $1000 on his gf's bday. So i said, what did she get you? He said "a card".
Wow... theres an equal relationship. And guess what? They both have the same job at the same company (with the same pay) |

WHAT???
So you are saying that its ok to spend as much as you can as long as you get laid? Sorry but homie dont work this way.
Girls know full well that there are guys that think like you do which is why they (everyone say it with me) LEAD YOU ON.
If you arent a sucker and they still hang out with you then she wants you for you and not for what she thinks you have. There are good girls like that out there still but they are becoming less and less. Especially noticable within the 25 and under crowd. The princess/bitch pride thing is also worrisome.
Since when is "little miss princess" and "bitch" supposed to be a compliment?? |

thats not neccerarily true anymore, in my personal experience with my work mates, we swap salary, stock option, course/education info all the time over lunch. Maybe becuause we're all still fairly fresh out of school and such, but I dunno, we're fairly comfortable with it. There isnt much to hide when there are public postings of your job and alike detailing how much yuo make and such on the company internal job posting website.
We also don't get jelous and such if one of us is making more then the other. Its all about bringing each other up rather then putting them down. |

I don't spoil my gf financially, I spoil her sexually. This works amazing.
As for the equal pay thing: I don't know which studies to believe, they'er probably all skewed to some degree. What I will believe is common sense. Common sense says to me that if a woman could be hired to do the same amount of work for less cost, there would be very few men working. Financially, that makes the employer a moron paying a man more to do the same. Employers who practice this type of sexism will be less competetive in the marketplace and will eventually die out. |

Can you give some stats that prove what you are saying here??
You want statistics that women earn less, well I want statistics that show that "way too many women" are taking advantage of men.
All girls I've known always offered to pay. I have yet to encounter a a girl who would never pay for anything. |

WOW!:whip: :whip: :whip:
This is bull, if guys let the girl take advantage of them, then really it's their own fault. (I'm not trying to justify anything here but...) If it's bothering the guy, then stand up and be a man and say something don't sit there and whine about being taken advantage of. I definitley DO NOT think that "there are way too many women out there taking advantage of way too many men"!! |
