Arafat is not better and no worse than Bush and Sharon.
I dont take sides in this issue because frankly i think the whole mess over a few thousand square kilometres of land is ridiculous. But they are all to blame so if you call arafat a terrorist you should say the same about Bush and the Isrealis. |

I would feel bad if people mocked a dead family member.
And further I haven't mocked anybody in this thread. Take the time to go re-read and then retract.

So you can have people say things like "bush should boil in a vat of oil" but DON'T YOU DARE CONDEMN AN ACTUAL TERRORIST!!
Arafat was a terrorist, who orchestrated plane hijackings in his early days, then did nothing to quell the tide of Palestinian terrorism that happened on his watch. He's a terrorist thug. Good riddance. |

sums it all up right there.
People defending him, as if he were Mother Theresa? He was supposed to step down LONG ago, and never did. His approval rating within his own community had dropped long ago. The only reason they didn't kill him themselves was out of respect. And what, may I ask, did he actually DO for his people? Where's all that money he collected from all those international countries to improve living conditions, etc? All that talk about his wife standing to inherit all that money. Why the hell should she inherit what was never hers? He stole from his own people.
I am certain that whomever will come in power next will do a much better job. |

Say what you want about Arafat, but being happy about someone's death is pretty lame. He was a terrorist and I'm glad he's no longer in "power"...it's unfortunate it took his death to remove him from the situation though. |
