Okay...I just watched Arafat's burial on TV in Hebron, and watching that was ALL that I needed to strengthen my opinion about the palestinians...no offense...but ing wild animals.
They couldn't even give their leader a proper burial :disbelief
It's funny how a greedy, power hungry, war mongring terrorist is regarded so highly. The man brought more harm to his own people than anything! :whip: I can even argue for you that all he cared about was himself - being seen as a symbol, a liberator, one to be written about in the history books rather than his people. |

True religion is a very touchy topic on TA as it is everywhere.
But don't most of us have differing opinions on musci as well? Just go to the MD Forum and check out all the flame wars on there....quite amuzing actually:D |

Most of the stuff said on this board lacks backing...for example...some body took pleasure in Arafats death... by saying "about time".
Its one thing to have an opinion, but its another thing to want someone dead...be it muslim or jew or what ever...
Some of us wanted Arafat dead while some of us did not... guess what, its your word against theirs...you have no credibility and neither do they...
p.s religon doesnt breed hatred, politics does!!! |

PS: I can't believe the number of people who are willing to not talk about past events, like there is some kind of taboo on it. Only through an understanding of the past, can we begin to understand the present and future. |

So, he's dead...and in a few weeks, some other puppet will rise up and repeat the same mantra of "jihad, jihad, jihad"...new face, same old bull.
Arfat's death hasn't changed anything really, since the guy was basically operating as a figurehead only for the last 10 years, without really doing much to make life better for his people. While i won't rejoice in his death (that's just immature, imo) i will say that he was fortunate to live as long as he did.
To those who call Arafat a terrorist, bear in mind, that's the exact same title that Mandela was given when he was incarcerated for killing two police officers during Apartheid. While i wouldn't compare the two men, i will say that histroy has a strange way of remembering a man's legacy. |

well, there will always be ignorant people without any way to back up their opinions, but hopefully they might at least learn something if someone else has an argument. discussion is always good to prevent ignorance.
