Ok, let me just say...

This game SUCKS at level 60. You know how you killed mobs before and when they didn't drop anything, you said to yourself "well, at least I got experience points for it". Well take that away and what do you have? A complete and utter waste of time.

Plus, there are pretty much NO quests available to you to solo at lvl 60, not like it would be worth it anyways, since you don't make XP, but it's cool to have items or money as a reward, so you can make your character better by eventually buying slightly better equipment, or saving up 900g for a nice mount. That becomes your one and only incentive in the game - money. Doesn't make for a very nice option for those who don't like completely item-based games.

It looks like a few months before the first content patch is even implemented, and there's no indication yet that Blizz is going to raise the level cap anytime soon.

It's really a damn-shame that they make us pay (monthly) for an advanced beta version of World of Warcraft.

You need to find yourself a guild so you can experience some high end content. It's true that there's not much you can solo at level 60, and I like it that way.

BTW, the content patch will almost certainly be this week, if not the week after for sure. But if your gripe is that there's not enough solo things to do at level 60, then no future patch will really remedy the situation since that's not their goal for end-game. I suppose with the honor system in place you can go solo guards in opposing town's factions for PVP rewards, but aside from that you will not experience the bulk of high end content without a guild.

Ok, perhaps I didn't really mean 'solo' in the sense that it's just my cat and I against the world, but it seems like even parties of 5 people at level 60 would find higher-end dungeons an almost impossible task - and I find pretty much every reward for a quest to be absolutely useless - and without the exp reward, I'm not left with much more. :(

I agree that it's awesome to have max-level instances that REQUIRE huge raids of max-level people who know what they're doing...but I don't like the fact that it almost no longer becomes a choice.

Maybe I'm just bitter that my entire party of 15 lvl 59+ compatriotes got wiped at Scholomance from one room full of skellies...wish we knew they were all linked ahead of time.

Don't get me wrong - it's still a very fun game - but it seems to definitely taper out towards the end and your options become very limited.

And I almost joined an Epic Raid guild a few days ago. An informant told me, however, that Distortion was no longer accpeting hunters, even level 60 ones. It seems like the best our server has to offer doesn't want me. heh.

Welcome to the world of MMORPG's. Have you ever played Everquest? At level 65(70 now), you can't get anything done without an entire raid group of people. Not only that, but the entire raid from setup to finish can take 3 Hours+. And that's just a small raid. There are raid's that take much longer. And you might only see a few piece of equipment drop during the whole thing and they might not even be for your class.

The only problem with WoW at 60 is that there isn't enough content, not that the content is too hard. It's just tiresome to do the same instances over and over again farming for gear. If they introduce a few more options I think it would be pretty fun.

I'm pretty confident that they're adding new high-end stuff quite soon. It's just a matter of time though. :(

I guess my huge gripe is that I just got to max level way too fast. Granted, I played a lot in a short period of time, but in this "world of MMORPGs", I think it's quite abnormal to be able to attain maximum level so fast. Games such as AO and AC had huge level caps from the get-go, and they only had to raise them after quite a few months of time when there were only small handfuls of max-level people. In WoW, it just seems unfinished in that I'm the max level my character can be and...I've only just begun.

They really need to raise the cap sometime soon for their own sakes, I think. People are already getting bored at 60 and quitting - when people quit, Blizzard does not make money. For some reason though, I think they're makign a fortune off this one. :haha:

In any case, they're going to alienate their harcore audience, thus leaving servers full of n00bs...

This simply cannot be.

I've heard they will be raising caps at some point (god knows when) and introducing hero classes, which should be cool.

this cap reason is why I am taking my time on the european version, only level 28 at the mo with 3 days 4 hours playtime, got mates at lvl 44 already, and they are more likely to cap out and start to get bored

me, I'm immersing myself in the world and really enjoying myself :)
