Here's one funny story!
I was havin' a smoke on the patio @ GUV and this guy approached me and asked for a Ciggie...He wasn't able to get into Tiesto that night so he opted out for GUV instead...
Guy- Bro they were askin' for $150.00 for a single ticket
Me- Really?!
- Dude I even Called D.J Danny D and HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY TICKETS!!!
You gotta Love Woodbidge!
:haha: :haha: 7 |

I will write a full review later, but in respect to Shaya's "funny moment" post:
Now, please don't take this as me trying to be mean, elitist or anything like that, as I find it more "endearing funny" (in a "i was once there" type of way) than "ha-ha you suck" funny. Because bottom line we should all be really happy that many, many people are (finally) getting turned on by EDM, and heck I didn't have all the concepts correct on day 1 either. So here is the moment:
amb_ and I were out having some tabaki on the patio at 10:45 or so.
Doodguy behind me and about 6 feet away says to his friend: "Man, this is going to be AMAZING, Tiesto is the house master!"
Friend replies: "I know bro, we're talking better than Roger Sanchez. That is why Tiesto is #1"
I hope those doods had their socks knocked off by Tiesto and that they told all of their friends about the party (because I sure did). |

I just hope the Docks continue to book him instead of the Guv. It's obvious what venue he prefers. |
I am certain that Tijs shares the same sentiment. |

yeah, it's just a little strange that it took them 18 months to get him back again. He likes it better, but it's the club who has to approach him for a gig, I'm sure and not the other way around. |

Can you name the breaks track that Tiesto apparently "wrecked" on (based on your comments)? Can you name the preceding and following track as well?
It's a bit of a stretch to simply believe any sort of unfounded comment posted on a msg board...
Unless he played it while I was hiding in the corner, I certainly didn't hear it. |
i think by breaks track he means heroes, correct me if im wrong. |

Tijs did have a lot of fun, and it sure showed. Fantastic to see that after all the gigs he's done, all the awards he's won - that he can still rock-it-out and blow up to his own tunes.
However - doods... each DJ to their own.
For dancing: You need to check out the Deko-ze man dance to his tunes! NOBODY dances more to Deko-ze's set than Deko-ze himself - Deko-ze loves it!
For cool: Kenny Glasgow has to be the smoothest person behind the tables I have ever seen. Relaxed, slow, deliberate, smoke in hand, in control - Kenny loves it!

I have yet to see Deko-ze, but from what I've heard I'm definately missing out! |

actually when i got to the door the guy asked for i.d....when he saw i was 40 he wasn't going to let me in but i slipped him a twenty and in i went...i knew i should have brought a fake i.d.
as soon as i got in someone handed me a rev and asked me to hold it in front of my face so as not to scare the younger customers...as i was lucky to even be in the club i obliged and quickly scurried to a dark corner of the club so as not to attract attention...
several times people got a glimpse of me and asked me if i was in the right club...i told them i was burned out from writing exams and that the stress made me look 20 years older...they seemed to buy it and left me alone...
later in the evening i saw a group of bouncers wandering through the club with flashlights weeding out the oldies that were hiding behind the curtains and cowering back of the speakers....i knew it was only a matter of time before i was found...
in order to save embarrassment i slipped out the back door and made my way home...got in just in time to catch an old rerun of matlock...
all in all, not a bad night...
;)
ps: thanks to the windsor chicks who thought i was 29 :D |
