ok, so here is my question. why is it you guys think that tiesto's set was AMAZING? from what ive read it seems as though he played tracks that EVERYONE knew. was it the best becuase he played nothing but BIG ANTHEMS?

wouldn't you guys love to see tiesto in a smaller venue (more intimate) playing fresh underground music (that you are unaware of)? i think something like this would really allow him to be A LOT more creative than he is when he spins BIG EVENTS.

those are my thoughts...

GOODNIGHT

p.s. im glad that all of you enjoyed yourselves to the fullest! at the end of the day thats all that matters...

that was an awesome party, i danced on the middle thing for like 7 hours straight

Amazing.... I didnt think I'd see that in toronto again. I made some mistakes to think that this party may not turn out right, but it destroyed all my expectations. Of the 4or5 times ive seen tiesto that was def his best. So if that is what the future holds for trance, its all up hill from here.... for now

I love the Docks renovations, perfect party atmosphere and decor. the sound system was simply amazing - we noticed the amps were up only 1/3 of the way and it was still the perfect volume. my ears dont hurt or ring at all (yes I had earplugs, but sometimes they still ring after) and I could easily hold a conversation there.

great lighting
great staff

the crowd, not bad at all really - its expected these days

Tiesto - amazing flow, and mixing Thanks Project Orange, TA, and everybody else involved with this landmark event!!
:D

I want a combo of both unknown tunes and stuff I've heard put together in a way that flows and works.

Tonight's set was good, I had fun. all I can say is...

UNI NATION.

1. For me the 70% of tunes were new. I am not spending all my time sitting on the net getting all the newest tunes out there. I got no time for it. Go through the playlist and name me one song that would not be amazing? For my taste I found the set and mixing perfect, best set from tiesto so far...

2. No, for me personally, I love huge massive venues. Would I wanna see Tiesto playing underground music in the small club? Yes, but I don't see the point for tiesto to play for 100 people and play just new tracks. There are other Dj's to do that. (It's like Usher would make concert for 100 people only singing songs that nobody heard, rediculous....)

LOL. 'Underground music' ??!!! Tiesto wouldn't know what the underground sounds like if a piece of vinyl flew out of a crate and hit him on the head just as he was trainwrecking a mix of "Just Be (Original Mix)" into "Just Be (Tiesto Rmx)... and as far as him playing the small intimate venue. You're kidding right ? The man just played in the Olympic games...you think he's gonna drop a 'real' set in front of 300 fans when he can pack a stadium ?

I actually didnt recognize most of those tunes, and lots of people didnt either. I'm thinking its because we don't download everything off the net, and then declair it all old anthems 1 week later. good music should be played whether its old or not. Staying on top of the past weeks releases is what makes for a lousy set. just my opinion

It's only the big anthems that have been mentioned so far. There were so many tracks that Tijs played that I don't know (or others haven't listed as of yet). It was the "unknown tracks" that made my night.....wish I had the names to all of them.

Also what else made it "amazing" was that Tiesto was actually into it; Smiling, jumping around and had so much enthusiasm!:D This is something I hadn't seen the last two times I saw him.

WOW!!!!! what an event!

The line outside wasnt to harsh and luckily i said fook it and left my coat in the car. but my g/f didnt. We got in around id say 11:15ish . Went to coat check and it was rammed. We didnt move for 10 min so we decided to check later. Went and got a decent spot behind the middle raised section and waited for tiesto who was supposed to be on in 5 mins ;) like 45 mins go by and he was on.

checked coat check later and again , there as no progress. I nice dude who was walking back from near the front said it wasnt worth it since it took him like an hour to get to the door..then there was the wait in the room. later I hear it was over 2 hours and 20 mins to wait for to check your coat. simply unacceptable!

overall i had a blast. Tiesto was great! yeah there were a few slow moments but what can you expect for 6 hours. you need to slow it down sometimes ;) .

A little to much shoving and pushing for my liking but nothing that wasnt bearable or that you couldnt handle. Im only 6'1 but I felt huge. A LOT of short people :eyespop:

I would definately do this again and next time for an event such as this Im buying at least 5 extra tickets!!!!! aahahaa. Couldve made a nice little chunk of coin while in line.

Sorry I didnt meet up with any of you. I rolled by the meet up area and noticed the dude with the white tiesto shirt but decided to get a drink. Then it was so rammed and he was supposedly coming on soon so I went to find a better spot. Next time I guess.

Nearing the last couple hours I was there found a nice spot near the back bar(in the mainroom) where you could see tiesto, had some room to move, and it was cool cause of the fridge . ahahha.

great stuff! I wonder what will be next!

I just wanted to say... SCREW YOU ALL!

as for the music.

I did NOT recognice a lot of the stuff he was playing. So imo it wasnt a lot of well known anthems . Obviously he dropped some like traffic but overall it wasnt a night of top 40 hits ;)

I was hoping to hear some certain songs which I didnt get to. maybe he played them in in last 2 or so hours I dunno . I had to leave at 5 :(

what time did he finish?
