a few weeks back we freakin drove to tripoli from beirut at 4AM to go to hallab, little did i know that my buddy (who lives there mind u) didn't have the slightest clue the places closes at like 10pm or something... was such a bad trip lol!!! i woulda KEEEEEEELLLED for some :'( |

i love this thread...makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...
my dad just arrived in lebanon the day before it happened. He wasnt anywhere close to the incident but even he sounded pretty shocked and unsure.
He said there is a rumor that a country other than syria might have done it just so the west can get the syrian army out of lebanono and hezbollah to back off all in one fell sweep. So whoever that country is just has to sit back and watch the show. Ingenious no?

But ya, I have a special relationship with the Aussie forum. It all started with the Melbourne shuffling shoes thread which degenerated into a flame war, followed by a semi-drunk thread that I made for s and giggles about cackleberries. Anyway, they're loads of fun, and there's a couple of wankers in particular there that I take great pleasure ting on. I'm devastated by the fact that I have to show my worthiness as a TA warrior by bribing you with Shawerma. And all this time, I thought the path to the heart through the stomach was only applicable to men. I now stand corrected. Apparently, it also applies to Croatian Aussies who have an odd tendency to blurt out random Arabic words in all of their sentences :p
As for Lebs in Canada, well...there are tons in Montreal, which is really all that matters since we don't usually recognize anyone as worthy or dignified enough to warrant mention outside of the borders of our beautiful city. And yes, I do have cousins in Sydney and I shall be visiting them soon enough :D |
