still confused as to this request...
there're boutiques in pretty much every single neighborhood in all five boroughs of new york city.
soho, midtown, upper east side, east village, greenwich village, upper west side, flatiron... and that's just manhattan... i mean :wtf: |

Not to sound ignorant or anything of the sort but, how safe is it to walk around the city with a fairly expensive camera?
I'm going to NYC pretty soon and want to be able to take a mirriad of photos there :D. I'm just a bit concerned that someone will decide to part my camera and I :nervous: |

in manhattan, pretty safe...people shoot pics with nice cameras all the time |

agreed. i would suggest getting a neck-chain thingy attached to it (not a chain, but u know, of durable fabric) and if you wanna be super-duper safe, always keep the camera on the chain around your neck and underneath your shirt.
that's what i do when i'm abroad with my passport/wallet and camera. |
