Hrm, I don't really care whether he plays at Disneyland or not. But, since he's doing it, atleast he could put together a good tracklist, and actually bother mixing well. Same thing with the Olympics... I mean, come on, he couldn't even beatmatch HIS OWN RECORDS a few times there.
I guess I'm really blaming the fans for being stupid enough to go see a DJ like him for a bunch of money better spent on other things. Oh well. |

"Would you prefer to be commercial and well known and have a big fanbase which will forget you after a couple of years or be more underground and have a smaller hardcore fanbase which follows your entire career?"

Thats like saying little Susie down the block can sing better then Britney Spears but she doesnt because she repects the scene...bull she doesnt cus shes a pimple faced 2 dollar whore that no one wants to see on stage...Britney has a charm about her, a way, a certain thing that not everyone has...as do PvD, Tiesto and Oakey....
Very few people go to shows the way TA's do...remember that...90% of the people in attendance dont give a rats ass about how the mixing is, if he is playing zero day releases or any other thing we may think or care about...the people that go wanna dance and hear ctachy tunes that make them happy and they also want to see a guy on stage behind the decks who is cool, charasmatic, charming, energetic and a hell of a good time...and thats what Tiesto is...like Britney.

I am defending the fact that Tiesto is doing his thing...building his career and trying to make as much money as he can as fast as he can so he doesnt have to work and kick back and enjoy life...and u guys are saying hes a sellout and hes this and that...

What I don't get is the reason behind why he's doing this. I mean, how much do you think he'll get paid for this, seriously? I would think around 100k or something like that...
I mean, Tiesto gets like 20k per gig and he plays what? an average of 4 times a week?...That would make him 80k a week x 52 weeks...an average of 4.1 million a year just for spinning...not counting vinyl/cd single sales, album and comps sales, merchandising, etc.
So clearly Tiesto14, he's not doing it to nail a business opportunity because at this point in his career he doesn't need that anymore. He's a millionare for crying out loud! Another 100k won't make miracles for him at this point in his life. |

That's completely different. I'm not an NSync fan and never will be, but that album is very well produced for what it was intended. BT may suck as a DJ, but producing-wise, he's still a genious. I mean, did you seriously expect BT to produce a trance album for NSync? Come on man...be realistic.
The typical U2 sound everyone is used to, for instance, is due in large part to the mastermind Brian Eno is (he produced Joshua Tree, Unforgettable Fire, Achtung Baby, ATYCLB...), yet they sound nothing like his own productions, and it still sounds killer. |

I respect him for being so Active and working hard to be the top DJ for the 4th times?
To be honest If i had the money I would deffo go to hes concert in disney...shame I just came from godskichen in manchester last week and im poooor as lol :/

| funny that you mentioned BT's collaboration with Nsync since I read that the guys from Nsync called BT and begged him to produce a song for them after hearing Fibonacci Sequence. BT refused first but he accepted the offer ONLY if he was allowed to get free hands. And they promised it. Thats why it sounds so different from any other of Nsyncs songs. |
