The funny thing is that every single one of you here would take this gig if offered it.

well guys, yesterday i spent the intire evening sitting in my small apt in Amsterdam and reading all this. Tiesto14 - everything that you said earlier had so much sense and i suport it 100%. I don't see a reason to discuss Tijs gigs - if he spins in Disneyland, in the hall of UN or on the top of the Everest. That's all great! World of music needs more people like him.
Somebody was talking about poor kids who won't be able enjoy the Park. Well, i want to see those KIDS walking around Disneyland at 11 o'clock at night. :eyes:

I agree 10000%%%....and nice to see you understand my point.

One thing that i didn't like, Tiesto14.
I'm an european and i live in New York (but as you said ZooYork and you got my support on this as well) and in Amsterdam. And i'm originally from Belarus, which is even smaller then Poland. You didn't offend them, you were trying to offend everybody with a background different than American.

Actually i attacked back at the kid from Poland who attacked me (for no reason when i was defending Tiesto) when he attacked Americans. Maybe i was wrong...but if u know me i get hyped when people attack America....

Yes, but I'd do my best to make it an unique experience by mixing well and playing fresh and unknown tracks. Tiesto never does that.

I talk to Dimitri this morning. He was in a good mood - everything was set, 7000 tix are sold out, weather was nice. I bet Tijs is excited right now. I only wish my ass would be there right now, not in NYC.:(

wtf man, you think that everyone here wants to be a superstar dj?
i had a lot of chances to play professionally at local clubs (@ hersonisos crete if you heard off it), but those 3rs (club owners) dont have trust to trance, so they wanted me to play house and rnb mostly... rnb, house, the crowd...i like the feeling i have when i'm playing, i dont give a about fame or disneyland.
its 1000 times better to play in my bedroom WHAT I LIKE than to play in a crowd and to worry about my track selections, i do it for me and for me only

I'm not trying to defend Tiesto, but did you see some of his latest shows? He plays some sick tracks that people (even Chris) can't ID. What's that? the old tracks? I doubt it. Yeah, Adagio for Strings was played and overplayed by every DJ I have recently seen starting with Oakey and finishing Armin. Oakey actually always plays Tiesto songs and we all know why - because the crowd goes nuts.
Well, I'm not a pro and i'm too recent in trance world so i can't say what Tiesto was back in late 90's (some of my friends called him "A shy giant"). You might like him then or now, but i have no choice, i can see only what he does right now. Somebody asked me today "So, if you know Tijs and care about him, do you know when was the last time he produced his own song?" And you know what i said "I DO NOT CARE". He is a DJ and if he spins great tunes making my ass move - result achieved. Whose tracks he is playing i don't care. SMB said that he can't match the beats of his own productions - well, it's sad because if he is a pro and "so far" #1 he better do his job on the level of DJ #1 but I wouldn't hear that match anyway.
What we all have to thank him - for doing so much in different areas, including his show in Disneyland. I wish he (or somebody else) could do more things like this.
