The opening dj set is so much different than just playing peak hours. The job of an opening dj is to slowly build his/her set, create crowd interest and build a vibe that lasts and builds throughout the set, while at the same time holding back, not tiring out the crowd, and making sure to leave a generous amount of head room for the dj's coming on after you, giving them space to build upon. I love opening up just as much as playing peak hours as opening up a room allows me to play in a way that creates anticipation and tension and ultimately allows me to create the early vibe that sets the stage for what's to come. Most of you understand this I'm sure.

i am certain things will change and soon such customary
peak hours wont exist allowing every artist in a givenight
express themselves freely creating an opportunity for t|
audiance to hear t| best possible material e| dj has for
t| longest period of time without constrains of any sort
as if each min were to be t| last one with this outlook
every dj would prove to themselves and t| fans their
own limitations creativity and talent as a painter
who is given paint and canvas and letting
inspitarion take the lead i must say
your building isensorial and
captivating . . .

Wow!!! Thank you guys for a phenomenal night. I came all the way from Texas to see Armin, and I will never regret it. I have to admit I was a little trepidatious about going to a NYC club alone, as a girl. But it was a fantastic vibe which made it really fun for me, and also influences the DJ...you guys were so much fun and you could see how much Armin was enjoying spinning that night!

I will definitely be back to party with you guys someday soon, whenever AvB (and Sander K...my first love is progressive house after all) will be in NYC. You guys rock!!!
