That is a huge part of it. Much less people had recordings of sets so they would have no idea that this Dj overplays these tracks. This has been said before: Dj's dont play for people who sit on the their computer tracklisting and collecting sets, they play for the people in the clubs, and most of them dont have mix collections. |

It would be really cool if just once in a while DJs would play a few older tracks in a set and not whats on their labels release schedule, and here is where i think the problems is.
Also watch kevin & perry get an idea of a few of the tunes
and if you can find it Matt Dary - Fast car mix the one with Wardens - Double Yellow <-- This tune is super rare but sums up vibe nicely
another rareity is Tribeca - Horizons on RGB (search IDs forum for sample) |

Forgot there was a CD released by muzik mag nov/dec 99 mixed by paul van dyk
white cd cover with paul on it
des mitchell - welcome to the dance / picotto - Iguana / jose amnesia - The Eternal / pvd - avenue / thrillseekers - synaesthesia / perfecto - bullet in the gun ..etc

1999.....when the majority of us had no idea about mp3 or downloading.
another track i never ever got was UTM - Stream played by oakenfold
that was an awesoime tune, would die to hear it again, lost the tape i had of the essential mix he played with that on it. |
