i blame the president and not only them but congress for not having a plan before hand for what happened. remember this storm was last week. untill now they got a huge convoy of food to poeple. TODAY thats a whiles away from when the storm hit.

second for the president to be over... plz that is nothing more than a show. for him to say a couple of words and shake some hands on tv? i could care less if hes taking a 24/7 this past week as long as decisions are being made

he doesnt need to be over there.

FEMA has said several times that in every other disaster that has ever happened in this country... that 4-5 days is a normal timespan to get relief in.. and it has taken them 4 days to get in there. I guess they should have set up shop right in the middle of N.O. before the hurricane hit so that all of their trucks, supplies, copters, etc could have gotten wiped out.

I guess that FEMA can magically travel hundreds of miles from wherever they are set up.. and instantly be in N.O. when the storm passes.

Do they make 18 wheelers that can turn into boats for situations like this?

sure ing took long don't ya think?

"Four days after Hurricane Katrina struck, the National Guard arrived in force Friday with food, water and weapons, rolling through the floodwaters in a vast truck convoy."

Let me add, cuz this is a topic many people don't recognize...the reason we're getting such bad storms and they keep coming like bullets is because of global warming WHICH Bush hasn't addressed as an issue AND if he has...he's doing nothing else about it.

gotta admit, honestly, it's not like anyone ANYWHERE doesnt want these people to get the help they need, maybe it's just that certain members of the government are a little *slow* :thepirate

it's kind of hard to do things when u can't even drive there..

they aren't miss cleo either... can't predict the future. so what would have been your before hand plan?
the work they are doing now is great. i think its proper they put the national guard out and all

and the food and water coming in will help a ton.

but my point is that they could of maybe planed for this ahead.

cmon dont give me that ms. cleo bs. first of all u guys come with the argument that THE POEPLE KNEW that it was gonan be a huge disaster and now the goverment CANT PREDICT the ammound of chaos?

doesnt make sense.

and yes the gov. knew this was gonna be great. hell WE knew it was gonna be tremendous. so a little planning ahead to me was not too much to ask.

and the superdome was not a good shelter. before the storm even hit i heard on the news "we think it'll hold up." THINK?! YOU ING THINK?! if you're gonna put that many people in there, you better be ing CERTAIN that it'll hold up. and it obviously didnt hold up cuz of the that broke and all that crap.

blah to ing politcal discussions on ta. this is so gay. and i'm so done with this.

this country sucks, and this is just another example of why i cant wait to get the out asap.

Good bye and good riddens...
