Dude first i like your position, the one that blame Bush for all the is happening are just stupid, that dont know anything about politics. Well Felipe i think that the buses had probably been there, im sure that in NO they have Bus companies, like Coach and all that crap that are available for use, or maybe as you know they have sports team and shiet and they probably use their transportation to move the people. But note these type of transporations are in New Orleans already, i think. I doubt that they are coming from outside. Bush is going to give like $10bn of aid, correct me if im wrong i think its more, but remember the process of aid is sometimes takes a bit long, because it has to pass through congress, especially when dealing with money, if you understand politics you get what i mean. But since bush is also the commander and chief, YES he was slow regarding sending navy ships and w.e have you to assist the people |

The problem is NOT at the Superdome.. sure, the inside of the dome is nasty and has problems.. but they are all getting fed... the problem is throughout the rest of the city.
Unless they have 18 wheel trucks that can become floating boats... There is NOWAY for them to get around the city. The superdome is not flooded... the superdomedome is the highest spot in the city... thats not where the problem is.. and thats how they can get buses in and out of there. |
a) Nope, in the superdome.
b) I could imagine its just dumb. Everyone is making their way to the superdome.. and where the ones been rescued are been dropped off. Sadly, people are dying IN the superdome. Its true that the problem is NOT ONLY in the superdome, but throughout the city. And no, not all are getting fed in the superdome. There's about 60-70,000 people in and around the Superdome.. Im never mentioned the city as a whole.. I was talking about the superdome where the majority of refugees are gathering and looking for help.. hence it would be a great place to START at least, but 0 of that.. get me?.... Anyways, from what IM hearing assistance is finally arriving at the dome like I just said.. and evacuation on the hospitals have resumed and convoy's of buses are taking people out, as well as choppers dropping off food like I just said.. all of the above of what I just said should have been done its been done as we speak.. so yeah, IT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE before. good source of news www.cnn.com theres also pictures for those of who cant read uhum . |

I also care... because this could had easily been Miami.. I live on the beach, so that storm suge of 25 feet would have wiped out my high rise building.
Its obvious that 1/2 of us has different views.. and they are all valid points and views... but this topic was about Michael Moor pulling this letter out of his ass... and sending it to every news organization across the world... just to take a jab at the republican party... thats bull. Worry about politics after the facts... for whomever gets the blame... worry about that later... In the meantime, we have cities wiped out, people dying, people homeless, people with no jobs, people with no nothing. Sure.. there were things that went wrong.. but im going to stick by the president on this one.. because they really are doing everything they can possibly do... its a HUGE project. |

Bro I dont know where you are getting your sources.. but IM sure is not from any of the media. Buses are coming from outside, how the heck do you think they are getting to Sant Antonio and Dallas Texas?!?!.. Tourists gathered 25,000 dollars to get buses and get them out of there. Did you know that?? .. Guess you didnt. |

Obviously this is not all Bush's fault or even much his fault at all (i gotta admit that as much as i think Bush is the worst president of my lifetime) The fed is doing the best it can (under Bush the best isn't that good), but they are trying to help out of course.
The one thing that gets me though is this:

It's true that the Bush admin has done this, they possibly would have had reinforced levees had it not been for this. Just goes to show you the consequences of neglecting your own country to rebuild some peice of country on the other side of the world. STUPID!
But the fact is the New Orleans and Lousianna state government is stupid as for not having disaster plans for this, like pretty much anywhere in Florida does. The fact that they even built a city below sea level with such vulnerability, to not have solid plans is pure neglegence. And mayor Nagin is a in idiot who just keeps whining "oh come help us" "oh the fed isn't doing enough", ever think you are the one who should be doing something mr. mayor? or better yet who should have done something years ago.
No doubt Bush's continued neglect has probably made a bad situation worse, but the fed is doing the best they can and a releif effort of this magnitude doesnt happen overnight. |

| PatMcGroin you said that bush is sitting on his ass while people suffer...what are you doing? i believe you were sitting on your ass typing that so don't judge someone if you are doing the same thing. Bush is sitting on his ass because he's telling people what to do thats his job. What is he going to do by himself in new orleans?nothing, his job is to be a leader and show people what they should do to help. Liquidx they cant make drops in the superdome the thing is virtually inhabitable. It has no power, it is wet and dark. Can you imagine how hot is in there and i'm sure mold is already forming which can make people sick, it is not a good place. People seriously will kill for water and food there is a right way to do provide supplies so although it is a time of desperation there has to be common sense and patients on how to provide relief. and as far as michael moore he is a douchebag trying to be cooler than everyone by raising controversy people the movie he made of 911 was FICTION!!! it is not a documentary with accurate information!!!! get a clue the guy just wants drama |

no it's not really bush's job. it's their local government's job. President already has a lot of on his hands, and it's nice of him to go out on a limb to help. That's like saying it's the state trooper's job to stop a local bank robbery. No, not really, it's the local police's job.
