Like you said, you have a crush on this guy. You didnt say you wanted to have a relationship with him or have sex with him. there is nothing wrong in having a flirtatious relationship with someone besides your bf. it makes you feel better about yourself and it strokes your ego. having someone else ebsides your bf flirt with you while you have a bf makes it exciting.
just be honest with the guy and dont lead him on.

that right there should tell you it's a bad idea to be friends with this guy... i used to think men and women could be "just" friends but 90% of the time it ends up with someone having a crush or making the moves. you're a gorgeous girl, Jamie, and if this photography boy is single he's probably got all sorts of ideas in his head already about how he can steal you away from your boyfriend. now usually that's not that big of a deal if the girl is unattracted to the guyfriend, but in your case... getting all giddy and excited over it means that you're just as interested with the prospect of something happening, EVEN if you have a boyfriend. right now it's just innocent flirting and both of you probably feel like there's nothing wrong with it, but it may eventually progress into a situation that you don't want to deal with... having to choose between Craig and photography boy.
hey, we're all human, it's normal to get excited over someone who intrigues us... but if you are in a serious relationship and you want it to stay that way, there are lines that can't be crossed, and you have to make it clear that you're not interested. |

i agree with myra on this one...good post.
here is how i see it.
this guy, as sad as it is, probably has a secret agenda. i'm guessing he likes you, but when he found out you had a boyfriend he couldn't really go after you directly, but here is his plan. first part of that plan, that seems to be working, is to get you interested in him. you think this guy is cute and really great whatever...so what happens if you and craig have some rough time? really what if you and craig have a fight about whatever...this guy or a different part of your relationship and it gets you questioning what you have with craig...and it becomes easier for you to like this guy.
i think it really sucks, but usually i don't think guys are gonna try and be friends with girls they aren't interested in. anyway, that's just how i see it... |
