I think a lot of people get themselves into a bad frame of mind when it comes to relationships, where they get too fixated on the idea of a perfect relationship that's going to last the rest of their lives. I mean some people might end up in that situation, but it just isn't realistic to go into a relationship with that expectation and you're setting yourself up to be disappointed without really doing anything positive for yourself or your partner. As time passes people change, situations change, and sometimes the right person for you at one point in your life isn't going to be the right person a few years down the road. It just happens, that's how life is, and instead of bitterly looking at every relationship that doesn't end perfectly as a waste of time you should look at it for what it really was: the source of a lot of happiness for you while it lasted, lots of good memories and positive experiences, and something that no doubt helped you learn more about yourself as a person.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't take every relationship seriously and make a genuine effort to keep the relationship as strong and as vibrant as it can be, it just means that you don't look at a relationship as a failure merely because it eventually came to an end and that you understand the big picture of your life as a collection of experiences, some good and some bad, and that you aren't unprepared to deal with whatever might come next, even if it isn't what you might have had in mind. |

There really should be another option available. What's to stop you from leaving Craig and going for photo guy? If you care about him that much, and you DO want to be with him...then yes you're a piece of :haha:
But don't cheat on him...you'll feel like after. Sure it'll go away eventually, but it's just going to eat at you for the duration of your relationship. Then if you guys did break up it would probably come out in some kind of fight and he would hate you. Is that worth it? |
