Anytime a Maple Leafs fan gives me a hard time, I tell them that and they shutup. It's great.

6-0 after 1 period..
5 goals on 11 shots against Theo..
2 losses out of 2 so far on a 6-game roadtrip..
Is the Gainey honeymoon over after 1 week? Last night was a disgrace... |

Ive seen AHL teams who could have fared better than the habs last night.
There are certain elements of the team that are really destroying our chances.Right now their is absolutely no chemistry on this team.I'll be suprised if Gainey doesnt try to free up some salary and maybe go after Biron and ditch Theodore for some xtra puch to the offence. |

I felt soooo good after the Leafs got their asses whooped last night, but the pathetic performance the candiens put up in the first period just made me want to go hide and never come back again...
And heck, who can you blame? Of course this team is lacking confidence when Theo always allows the first shot on goal?! I've been supporting Theo and I've stood up in front of all Theo bashers, but I'm begining to realized that they were right. |

Gainey can't just trade theo, the confidence he put in theo, and the huge 5.2M/year contract that comes with it is forcing him to keep the guy.
If he trades him, its like saying that he was wrong all along the way (and with julien getting fired for now reason). |

| True. And I don't believe Theo will be traded, even though I'd like to see it. But what is more important? BG's big ego or the results the team is putting up? Theo better get his together, because not only is his market value dropping (his salary by the way isn't), but his poor performance also seems to affect the rest of the team and the other players confidence. I think at least Gainey should play Huet more. Maybe that could wake Theo up... |

I agree with you there. I think Julien had the right idea in that respect, playing Huet more often...Theodore's performance against Vancouver was unacceptable for a former Hart and Vezina trophy winner...He's supposed to be the reason for our success, not the reason for our demise! The best thing to do right now is play Huet, because he's been pretty solid and no matter how big your investment in a player is, you gotta WIN games...And right now I think that means giving Theodore a rest. Besides, maybe the feeling that his job is in jeopardy will wake Theo up from this slump! |

No other team in the NHL can afford Theo's contract at this point in time. So no, he will not and cannot be traded.
4.5/5.5/6.5 over the next 3 years :eyespop:
Anyways, like I always say, Bonk + Ribeiro for Bertuzzi!!! |
