+1 and theodore has stopped so many breakaways already this season i think one on ones he has to be one of the best in the league |

Streit was the Swiss league MVP?? The only thing he knows how to do is be big. And ya srsly I can't remember the last time Bonk did anything...we'd have been better off with Garon for the current situation.
Everyone got all excited about Danis and his 3 straight wins and 1.8 whatever GAA...then he goes and lets in 4 ty goals on 17 shots...NOT impressed. What Theodore needs is a week of rest, cuz that's the only way his groin is going to get better, and the Canadiens have GOT to stop letting people blow by them on defense...Honestly I can't remember the last time anyone other than Bouillon, Rivet or Markov made a play...If the Canadiens want to seriously compete, they have to improve on the defense...Souray was an all star last season, but the new rules have completely mashed his game, and he's dead weight now.
And ffs we NEED Kovalev back, I find the team just plays with a completely different level of poise when he's around. Not to mention the amount of opportunities he creates for anyone who's on the ice with him.
And you're right Krinker, they don't play 60 minutes, which is a pretty big problem, cuz blown leads and ty starts aren't always going to end up going your way, as we've seen in the past few games. |

I agree with you on that Krinker, to a certain extent...I just don't see him as consistent as most other keepers these days. He does need rest and maybe that will help him become better on a more regular basis. |

I dont see how you can say this as he is almost guaranteed a spot on Team Canada at this years Olympics. If you look at all of the goalie stats in the leaugue, every goalie has suffered due to the new rules.Theo is the biggest asset our club has.He cant do it all by himself...when defencemen play like pilons it doesnt help. |

I think Theodore is doing just fine when you compare him to other "top-notch" goalies in the league that aren't having great seasons: brodeur in NJ, raycroft in Boston, Thibault in Pittsburg! Fine there are other factors regarding why those goalies aren't doing so hot (their teams suck), but I think Theo is playing much better than them right now so let's appreciate what we have. he IS human after all.
Streit was co-mvp with Joe Thornton in the swiss league last year. he's a swiss national (and olympic) hero apparently also! and he's not just "big", he's actually pretty small compared to komisarek or souray. But yes, souray is dead wood. don't know what happened to him?? I guess when the baywatch wife dumps you, you get depressed. Don't blame him!
trade souray, dagenais (turner stevenson incarnate that can't skate) and Bulis for a sack of pucks and we'd be much better off. |

Theodore is the backbone of the team. I like the mix of young players and vets like Koivu & Kovalev. Kovalev is the best player we've had in years. Koivu is playing like a superstar. This is montreal, we get excited fast when things go well, but as soon as we lose a couple of games all hell breaks loose.
BEGIN is the man. Period. |

I wouldn't hate on Bulis, I find he does good things. For a third line forward, you couldn't ask for much more than Bulis. He'll end up with 20 goals or so and make a key play once in a while.
But yeah, I didn't know that about Streit...For someone who probably played well against the likes of Naslund, Thornton, etc., I'm not very impressed! What has Streit done other than screw up? He's a -2 for the year, and if he's an MVP he should start playing like one! |

I'll give him some time, maybe I just have some issues with him...ALso he has been nursing an injury for the past couple games maybe thats why he has been playing sub-par. Just hope the team as a whoole can leep it together for a season, its been a while since we've had a solid record for the season. |
