Man, hockey players get paid globs of money but, sheesh, you always gotta worry about getting your knee blown out, shoulder, broken bones, torn ligaments and even losing an eye. Most jobs don't have that risk. And then there are the puck bunnies wanting to start a family with you when you're pissed drunk and stuff and dudes wanting to see how tough you are or tell you how your play stinks when you just want a good time with your buddies at a bar.

I'd still take the salary and the bunnies :p

i dont want to start some false rumours...but I have a friend whos working at a coffee depot downtown and today he had a client who was the russian translator for some players of the canadiens...and he told my friend...that koivu's injury was really serious and that it may end his carrier...:(

That's just typical of the "new NHL". You DO NOT call penalties like that in overtime, especially when there was a penalty on Bouillon (I think it was him) about 2 seconds before that in the corner!! Montreal had what...4-5 penalties in a row called against them, including the 4 minute high sticking even though I saw NO BLOOD?

ing Gary Bettman...I can just see him getting on the phone to the refs before the game..."Now boys we can't have Tampa AND Carolina losing in the first round. THat's just not good for hockey!"

ing wankers...absolute wankers. The non call on Koivu was worthy enough to get those ing morons refs fired. He most likely won't be coming back for the rest of the year now.

P.S. Jessie, im sorry to say this, but i think that a tribal shaman who has never left Africa knows more about hockey than you...that comment on its impossible to get a shutout in the playoffs is pure gold...sorry but its kinda making me feel better:p :stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :stongue:

:haha: :haha:

Why didn't the Canadiens' fans attack the ref like the South American soccer fans do? Two bitter pills for you Habs fans to swallow in one night!

hahaha even the people in suits in the lodge were cussing and swearing.
Everywhere i seem to go i turn clean cut people into lunatics:haha:

I seriously am so sad for Saku...he has overcome so much to play again.
Shades of Pierre Mondou:mad:

I sincerely doubt Koivu will be back this year. He just has no luck whatsoever.

that's what I am the most afraid of...

Bryan Berard lost an eye a couple of years ago. But he returned!! And he is a solid offensive defenceman with Columbus now, playing with 1 functioning eye.

In 5 years, we won't remember who won this 1st round series. But if it ends up that it was Koivu's last game, then wow...what a loss.

Miracles can happen.
He won't be back this year but let's just hope he's OK and can play again. Can't ask for anything more.

Yeah well it did look serious....I mean he couldn't even open his eye and it seriously looked like there was blood flowing from between the lids...I just hope he's OK, he seems like a really great guy does a lot for the community and everything, yet he just can't catch a break.
