Bronson Arroyo hits another home run, his 2nd, in as many starts
At the time, he had as many HR's as teammate Ken Griffey Jr

i really like the mets' lineup. 1 through 5 they are probably the toughest lineup. if their rotation can hold up they will be really tough to beat because they have a strong bullpen too.

I was thinking... 3/4/5... where do the Mets rank in MLB? They've got to be in the top 5 with Beltran/Delgado/Wright. And, if we go 3/4/5/6, the only team better would be the Yankees.

I think the Mets pitching is eventually going to start faltering, they need to pull a trade at some point and get another arm in the fold
Shamez214
Nah. I really hope they don't make a stupid trade for a SP. After this season:

Tony Armas Jr.
Jason Schmidt
Ted Lilly
Andy Pettitte
Mark Mulder
Barry Zito
Doug Davis
Chris Capuano

Are all FAs. Unless a few Met minor leaguers play way over their head this year and we can trade them for one of those starters, I don't want to give up Pelfrey/Milledge for anyone.

Is anyone else getting sick of all the talk about Barry Bonds?
Baseball Tonight is showing each and every one of his at-bats.
Although I haven't heard them live, I heard it announced on XM Radio that on their MLB Home Plate channel, they'll cut to live coverage of each of his at-bats, whenever he goes up to the plate.

Save that for when he gets to 713 HR's.
Or let's start with him getting his first HR of the season.

So far this year, I've only been paying attention to the Mets. I've been a bad baseball fan so far. :clown:

I am hoping for a miracle. I know my team can pull it off, they often have slow starts. But with injuries that can change. Talking about big games, tonight's the start of a BIG series (first of many) between Mets and Braves. Curious to see as to how each team is going to adjust to this matchup, as its a key one, especially for Braves, as Mets can really pull away this early in the season...

Guess we will see if the Braves are still in the Mets head, and thankfully Chipper is out..who is consistent Met Killer
