I know it's not MLB, but he's supposed to get there someday...

tell him to not throw bats at umpires and he will be okay. the twins are always bringing guys up from their farm system so he has a good shot at being in the big leagues.

Anyone here impressed with great starts by Reds/Tigers? Or even the Rockies, who has the NL's best batting coming into their series with the Braves.

Or do you guys think those teams will fade as the season goes on? I personally think Reds have a good shot at making the playoffs this year. I missed out on the acquisitions they made in the offseason. :o

Long time, no post, I apologize. I doubt I will be making as frequent posts during this season as I did last year. but anyways, april is over and done with and we're charging on with may.

i've been keeping up with the nationals of course, finally got a new owner today and the groundbreaking for the new stadium is tomorrow. i agree with you magnetonium about the reds. The Red sox don't know what they've lost with Arroyo. he's damn good.

Is anyone going to be going to the Red Sox v. Nationals series in June at Fenway? I've got tickets to the 19th and 20th games.

Pujols becomes the fastest ever to 15 HR's
Anyone think he'll break Bonds' single-season record?

Papelbon gives up his first run of the season, and gets his first loss

Astros offer $18 M to Clemens

Damn... I knew that too!

Well... I follow the Mets minor leagues very closely. I'll be sure to check out how your brother's doing once Rookie ball starts up.

EDIT: That sounded like I thought he was in the Mets system. What I meant was that I follow the Mets minors closely, so when I am checking their stuff, I'll be sure to shoot over to the Twins Minor pages and check in on him. :thepirate

As for the Reds... I think they're the Nationals of this year. The pitching is just... bad. Obviously, there's no way Arroyo keeps that up. And the rest of that staff is horrendous. They can score some runs though...

Kudos to the Tigers, Rockies, and Reds for their current success.
Looks like the Marlins once again are in that small funk again, because they don't want to open their wallets and keep their players (losing burnett, beckett, and delgado really does hurt) .

as for the Rockies, heck i can hit .300 at Coors Field, and i suck at baseball. i usually strikeout at average 2 times a game in a regular baseball game. :wtf:

:p

Good luck to him! I actually only knew of him because there was a small feature in the Sporting News about him a few issues ago.

nice comparison. i like how the guys on baseball tonight keep saying stuff like, "just wait until they get griffey back in the lineup." seriously have they not kept tabs on his career in cincy? i really like griffey but injuries have killed him and made him so undependable its not even funny.
