Is this sound called "minimal"???I thought it was something like the mainstream face of "click-house/glitch-techno", that was around from 2002 if i remember well!!!"Minimal-techno" or "Minimal-house" was originally called the very deep and dubby (like listening to techno outside of a club as a guy once called it)mid-90s Berlinesque sound of "Basic Channel records" with artists like
Basic channel", "Maurizio"(the pioneer of the scene), "Fluxion"(an amazing greek producer), "Monolake" and many others AND it should not be confused with this TRASH IMO!!!!!Cheers.

Petran, I don't know, seeing as genres usually are disputed here anyway.

rofl! I love that commercial. Even though it is completely askew from the song (and even the vibe it creates) the movie never fails to remind me of it. IT's a pretty dang good idea too. Props the the writer.

this, I was holding back in this thread, but I can't take it anymore.

For the past few years I've seen this whole "minimal" movement happen, it's irriating. Whatever happened to music with warmth--with life? It's all gone--it's all gone down the drain. Now you have these elitist s who come on here and any song that actually has that, it's just brushed off as "cheese" or "garbage". Oh but wait, now Angello and Ingrosso jump on the minimal bandwagon, and again, the elitists come out of the woodwork and bash the song. What the do you expect from these people? They are just making dance music--there is nothing groundbreaking about any of the minimal artists on the scene--not a god damn thing. They all follow the same god damn formula, song after song. It's fifteen ing minutes of a kick and some filtered synth. How on earth is that ing groundbreaking? It's not. The sheep just give into all the hype--yeah I said it. Holden, Loco Dice, M.A.N.D.Y, and anyone else who hopped on that bull house genre has nothing to be proud of. Who the wants to go to a club and hear eight hours of that? that. I didn't want to be a hater, but I can't hold back anymore. I'm sick and tired of the minimal bandwagon, the electro bandwagon, and most of all, this bull elitist bandwagon. Yeah I know it's an internet forum, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but that's mine. I hate minimal, I hate minimal electro-house, and most of all, I hate elitists. People who make minimal house remind me of indie kids, they act like they are so groundbreaking and fresh, when in the end, they are just a bunch of clones of each other, using the same formula to make every god damn song, and in turn, making my god damn ears bleed.
